Rated 5 out of 5 by Lancey Shake Weight for Men - I like it It absolutely works. Here's the 'sitch: Do not think about the weight being 5 pounds - you are not curling it. As you slide it one way, you are using your muscles to stop the inertia from it sliding and reversing direction - according to the box, as much as 65 pounds of force. You do 2 sets of exercises - as many reps as you can in 30 seconds each. If the movement is not challenging enough, try to move it further. You use this in conjunction (for me before), a regular workout. The exercises are not actually 6 minutes total - more like 8 minutes - it's 4 sets of 2 reps with a 15-second active recovery in-between. It was difficult enough to use that it took major concentration to complete all of the exercises. After the first time I used it, I felt it in my shoulders and triceps especially. There's only three things I didn't like about it: 1) It sounds kind of funny when you use it; 2) The printed instructions show a 4th kind of exercise which isn't in the videos (a side-to-side exercise that isn't obvious how to do); and 3) They say to always keep it at least 6 inches or more from your head, yet in the video, the trainer actually hits the back of his head with it accidentally. But as far as results - I started to see them in about 3 days particularly in the shoulders. A lot of people on the internet make fun of this device, but I give it a great thumbs up, and think it is well designed and very innovative. 12/20/2010

I took it out and tried it for the first time thinking it was gonna be lame but not at all i love it and im gonna continue to use it. i felt the burn within a min of using it. there is two of these though the male version and the female. yes im female but i got it because i figured i have big arms so i think i would need the bigger for me cuz im not average arm size. i am using this to help loose the extra weight in my arms and to tone my top half of my body. i would totally recomend this for anyone who wants to loose some extra weight up to or to get some muscle. 01/29/2011
Rated 5 out of 5 by Tebird Great Workout My son wanted this for Christmas. He is almost 19 and is already in good shape. He runs and works out all the time. The add on TV and the DVD that comes with the product say to use the item for 6 Munutes... My son is in great shape and can only handle about 3 munutes at this time.
