I'm hooked I got one of these four or five years ago when I started having trouble with my hands and shoulders. It was a great help, especially when I would make things like a big pot of chili or soup where I needed to open multiple cans of beans or vegetables. When it started slowing down, I sprayed the mechanism with WD40 and brushed it with a toothbrush but it's now on it's last legs, so time to buy a new one. I hope I have as much good luck with the second one as I did with the first. And I think the oval shape makes it fit better in a utility drawer; it's easy to find. But I like the magnet idea too. And you'll never slice your finger on a sharp lid again. 05/21/2012
This is so easy to use. Since it opens the can below the rim, you don't get food build up where bacteria grows. 02/26/2012
this product does not fit all cans anymore. the tops are shaped so the can opener does not fit and will not cut!!! I'm very disappointed. 02/25/2012
What a piece of garbage. This is such a great concept, but they just can't get the design right. I have owned a couple in the past that functioned for a few weeks or months, sputtered, and died. This particular unit showed a little cosmetic re-design, so I gave it one more try, just in case the guts had improved also. OMG, people, I kid you not. The motor ran for literally 3 seconds and quit, never to run again. Back it went to Walmart, and I bought a beautiful Rival countertop model for the same money,and it works great. So I can't keep it in a drawer. Life is an adjustment. 01/15/2012
