Ruined my phone case! Won't recommend to anyone!

I can't stand to write bad reviews for products when someone put thought, effort, time, money and other things into making this product available so world wide to everyone. At first I loved this! Until I had to pry it off my phone case. It is super super super sticky (as in way too sticky) at first. Then later after it has peeled so much of the clear coat and red paint off my phone case, that it won't hold my phone anymore until I wash it and allow it to dry where its so sticky it peels off more clear coat and more red paint from my case. This mount has almost taken the back piece of my awesome case off. I did have a beautiful cherry red quilted hard case that has recessed rhinestones in it. Thank God the rhinestones are recessed or I'm sure this mount would have taken those with it. It worries me to think what it'd do to my phone if I did not have the case on and used the back side of my actual phone itself. The back cover on the Samsung S2 is thin and pryable as that's how you pop it off to remove your battery & SD card. So glad I can upload pictures of what it's done to my case to show you. Don't buy this product. Go find something else that won't ruin your phone case or the backside of your phone. If you have a phone with a rock hard back cover, you will probably be fine with this mount, but if not, I'm forewarning you, it will probably ruin your phone or case too. Also another problem is after a few uses (approximately a month of uses) it doesn't hold my phone upright anymore. It droops down like there's too much weight on it. Like my phone is an old fashion brick phone that weighs 10lbs. I wish I would have never bought this. I thought it was awesome. Bad that I have to have this on my windshield lower than I'd like to, so the bottom of my phone rests on my dash so it has no place to droop down. Not good when I'm trying to use the GPS directions on my phone.

Purchased this for a trip I was taking and it was crucial to use my gps on my phone. I've had similar products that worked pretty well and this was really cheap so I thought I'd try it. WORST thing I've ever done! The phone wouldn't stick the the thing at all. I spent more time trying to restick it than it was worth. Driving down the interstate and having to pick it up and restick it every 5 minutes. Almost made me wreck a few times....Thank GOD I had my husband with me or I probably would have wrecked. I took it back the next day for a refund...PLEASE don't waste your time or money on this product!

I've seen some bad reviews for this product even the local news stating that the suction cup didn't stick after a few uses, this may be true if what a person is trying to stick it to is dirty. Trick is that everything must be clean as with any suction type device to maintain it's hold. Anyway, I think the price matches the item especially at Walmart.

I have one of the GoGrips products My daughter bought one for herself and then one for her husbands work truck. I liked it so much I tried my cell on it with and without my case and it worked both ways.My son in laws phone case makes his cell very heavy. It even held that. Just after awhile if you need it follow instructions on how to clean sticky part and the part that sticks to windshield. But my daughters has been up for a month now and still works perfect. The first Couple of times I put my phone on it I think it stuck to good. It was very hard to get my cell off of it. But now its perfect. I would not hesitate to get one for each member of the family who drives and has a cell phone. I just moved to a new state and hard to get around so I use my navigator on my phone. It use to be so hard to see the directions now it is so easy. Love, love this product. Plus for the driving teens u put the cell on speaker phone and it hands free for talking and texting especially with the voice activation ability on most phones nowadays...

Good price, looks ok except for the green parts. But my phone never stuck properly, even after cleaning both surfaces. And it never stayed stuck to my windshield. Longest of several trials was 16 minutes. I returned it after a few days.

  • A. The adhesive lasted two days for me then it started dropping my note3 while I was driving on the interstate. I tried warm water rinsing and air dried by the instructions, but the adhesive failed again. I would highly recommend against using this for your expensive electronic devices.

  • A. I've been using it for weeks and it still holds extremely well. I've actually had to put my fingers all over it to tone down the stickiness. Also, the pad is washable. So once the stickiness starts to wear out all you do is wash it with soap and water and its good as new.

  • A. Supposively, once the green part gets dirty, you can clean it with soap and water and it should be back to new. The green part does hold very well. The suction cup for the window SUCKS

  • A. I've been using mine every day. This week the temperature in the car was well over 110-degrees in the sun. I had no problem. The stickiness is not a regent. It's a bunch of very small suction cups, too small to see without a high powered magnifier. That is why it continues to work, day in and day out.

  • A. I BELIEVE IT IS PRACTICALLY PERMANENT. DON'T WE REMOVE THE PHONE FROM THE CAR DAILY. I EXPECT YOU HAVE TO TAKE IT INTO YOUR HOME SOMETIME. OTHERWISE, THE GRIP MAY BE MORE THAN YOU WILL EVER NEED.

  • A. I think your asking about the sticky pad that holds on to the phone. If so you can clean the sticky pad of dust and grime with warm water and then let it air dry and the sticky pad will again be really sticky. I think its made of the same material that they are using for them lint rollers that they also sell on tv that they say just wash and let dry and wa la works like new.

  • A. It comes with a circular pad that has a sticker. If you can't use the suction, you can use the sticker pad if you have a flat surface... probably might work. save the receipt. Suction cup on the two I purchased didn't work well after about a week.

  • A. It comes with a flat, plastic disk that has some sort of sticky tape on one side. You're supposed to stick the disk to your dash, and then use the suction cup to stick it to the disk. I tried to just stick the suction cup to my dash, but it didn't work at all. I haven't actually tried using the plastic disk, because I just use the GripGo on my windshield.

  • A. Not real sure what you are asking here. If you are talking about the rubber suction cup between the windshield and the mount yes it will hold up with a cord attached to it. If your talking about sticking your tom tom to the sticky pad of the mount will it hold the tom tom to it? That i am not sure about as the more smooth and flat the surface being placed to the sticky pad on the mount the better it sticks. I know for a fact it would not hold my tom tom to it as the tom tom i have has a curvature to the back of the case.
