Yes, this item has controls to allow you to set the temperature and will stop when it reaches your setting.

I did not see any evidence of it starting up again. It would shut off, and stay off, even though the room started heating up again. The only way I could get it to start up again was to keep setting the temperature lower, even though the actual temperature of the room never got down to what the temperature was set for. We had to set it to the sixties before it would even turn on again, run for an hour then it would shut off again, and it certainly wasn&#39;t in the sixties in the room!!!!

Just bought this a/c yesterday and  I had the problem of the a/c shutting down once it reached the desired temperature.  Which I did not like.  I like to have noise when I sleep and when the a/c shut off I woke up.  Today I pressed the energy saver button ($ button) off and it seems to be keeping the fan running even though the room is at desired temperature.  Hopefully this is the answer to this and it keeps working that way.  If not I will be switching a/c&#39;s with one from my kids room..

When fan shuts off, that&#39;s because you have &quot;energy saver&quot; is turned on, supposedly saving the energy the fan alone uses, which is minimal.  I had some trouble with energy saver mode coming on when I didn&#39;t realize it.  Maybe it gets switched on when cycle through modes or some such.  When you get the settings you want, just make sure &#39;energy saver&#39; light on unit is not lit.  If it is, just toiggle it on unit or remote to turn it off.

Yes, this unit has flexible / adjustable side slides to fit your window perfectly. It even comes with sponge insulation to keepthe hot air and bugs out. Hope this helps.

Will this ac automatically shut off even fan when it reaches set temp, and will turn on automatically again when needed

It uses a regular 115 volt outlet, just like the ones you use to plug in lamps, phone chargers, TV&#39;s, toasters.

Cooling 800 sq ft  , outside temp 80f  inside 72-73f. Now on 3rd summer running great. It does run almost constant in the daytime, goes off and on at night. Does a great job at dehumidifying. Good selection of modes. Good remote control.  Cost about $30 a month at .12 per kw. It is used only 3-5 months a year, should last me a long time. Removed and reinstalled  every year.

GREAT air conditioner

Just what I needed !!! Especially in this Florida weather!!

EXCELLENT

I generally do not do reviews but this little unit deserves one. This is a great little A/C unit for a 150-200 sq. foot room, awesome. It works very good, put it on auto, set the temp and once it reaches the room temp it shuts off and cycles. The remote is the thermostat so set the remote of the other side of the room, let's say 70 degrees, once the part of the room where the remote is reaches temp the unit shuts off until the desired temp increases then the unit cycles back on. Super cold air, light and very easy to install.  Even in the HOT temps of Tennessee in mid July it does a great job.

I bought this a/c last summer, and I have had no major problems. I let it run on a low temp for 3 days, and it froze up, but with normal use it works great!
I LOVE the remote control!!!! I can control the temperature from my bed!
I may buy another one to replace an old one!

Not bad for the price

Does a nice job of cooling a fairly large living room Only problem it doesn't have a movable vent up and down. Had to place the blinds, which I just happened to have in that window, over the vent to get the air out into all the room. Otherwise it would've just blown down on the couch freezing you off there and the rest of room was still hot. Works great this way though. Such a small fix you'd think they'd include adjustable up and down.

Cools living room

Don't waste your money. This could not cool a closet never mind a room. Buy a GE or Frigidaire much better product. I ended up going to Sam"s Club and buying a GE 5000 BTU and it works perfect. Now I have the Arctic King as a dust collector because I waited too long to return it.

Complete waste of money

This air conditioner is very loud and does not drain the water in the back.   It does cool your room, but the noise is horrid.  I would not purchase this ever again.
