I purchased Globe Bowl for my nephew and he LOVES it, it is simple for him to maintain and his parents like it even better because it is easy for him to take care of. The idea of an aquarium for him and learning to take on a little responsibility has worked PERFECTLY.....HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!

Rated 4 out of 5 by jcrj12 It worths what it costs, but has some minor issues
This tank is a nice deal for the price. For 12 bucks you get a LED lights with 10 different modes and a plastic bowl that you cannot possibly break (It's plastic, not acryllic), even though the bowl does look a little bit cheap. But, the only real problem with this is that it's difficult to fit any aquarium accessories in this kit, namely the heater or filter. There is no opening for cords for your heaters or filter, and so you either have to do some DIY and cut the lid yourself, use the feeder opening for your cords, or you have to leave the lid half open, which would mess with where light fixture is facing and thus can make everything look weird. So if you are thinking about making a fully functional pico aquarium, don't go for this one because it's going to be ugly to add any accessories. But if you are getting this tank as a toy, just for the sake that it's cheap and can keep a betta, then sure, it works too provided that you don't mind doing water change every so often.
Rated 5 out of 5 by Fishyfriend Perfect for my Dorm room
I got this fish tank when I decided I needed a friend in my dorm room. So I got my fish Davius and he loves the tank. The colors are vibrant and they stand out in the dark. I will say I got my money's worth. I would recommend for any starter in fish.

Constant irreversible scratching along the top caused the bowl to seem constantly foggy and made it difficult to see the water quality.
Rated 4 out of 5 by bree99 got with fish bowl about 2 weeks ago, and it was perfect, way cool light's and my betta loves it, he even has his favorite color, in which he'll prance around and look all pretty.. The only downfall is, the blue light quite working, and only blinks really annoyingly, so i can't use most of the settings and can only be set on red, green or clear. Im not to impressed with that. But it really is a great starter kit, and the fish look cool, depending on the color of the fish.

Perfect for my 4 year old. Totally would recommend this as a great starter fish bowl! We use it as a nightlight also. Very pleased.

My 2yr daugther loves it. She feeds the fishes and watch them all day. The light is great too.
Rated 4 out of 5 by 9658 Blue light quit working.
I bought this aquarium and really like it. So does my gold fish. However, like the other review the blue lights only flash. The other lights are all OK. Does anybody know where to buy a replacement? I have checked out the Hawkeye website and the Kollercraft website. Kollercraft takes you to the Haweye website. The product numbers on the website and the box the light came in don't match.

I bought this for a betta. At one gallon, its an ok size, but the curve of the bowl distorts the fish. The LED lights wash out the color, or obscure the fish completely. It might be good for some other type fish that doesn't require air and filtration, but I'm not thrilled with it. I might put in a fake fish and use it as a nightlight for my niece. :)
Pro: its easy to feed the fish and its also easy to get the lid off to clean and do water changes. And it is quite pretty. :)
Rated 5 out of 5 by acody Great little tank!
I recently purchased this little tank at my local Walmart store for my dragon scale betta - Valentino. As far as I can tell, he really enjoys the tank and has plenty of room to swim around. I really like the different color lights and "light shows" this tank has. The only downside is that you have to go through all the colors and "shows" to shut it off completely.
Rated 5 out of 5 by burrellssolomonjakester Great starter tank for betta's
We bought this tank because it was a good deal for our first family betta, both my spouse and I have had betta's in the past and decided to get one so our daughter could also enjoy one. Im fairly impressed this tank is great our betta loves it, we fit one pound of decorative pebbles and a 4 inch tall ornament in it and he still has lots of room to swim. The lights are fun but we mainly keep it on the white light and turn it off at night. We only turn on the colors if we shut the lights off at night and you can see the colors better our daughter likes watching him swim. Weekly cleaning is required for this bowl.
Rated 1 out of 5 by PurpleBetta NOT FOR BETTAS!!!
PLEASE DO NOT BUY THIS FOR A BETTA FISH (SIAMESE FIGHTING FISH). Please do your research before you buy a fish, whether it is a betta or not. Bettas must have a heater. I good sized tank for a betta is 5 gallons. A one gallon tank is fine, but you must clean it EVERY DAY. (Do you really want to do that? I think not.)
Yes, this bowl is cool. Yes, it may look pretty. Yes, it has shiny lights. Bettas can live to be 6 years old. Being in a 1 gallon bowl that is probably cleaned once a week/month, they'll probably live all of two weeks.
Owning a betta fish is a rewarding experience. I urge you to please do your research before you buy a fish. They're actually low maintenance if you get your tank set up correctly.
Rated 5 out of 5 by bnettie39 Great aquarium for a Betta and good for children.
I would reccomend this Betta bowl for any age, the lights make it really cool. And I love to watch my Betta.
Rated 1 out of 5 by Shelby266 Was great for about two weeks
After owning this tank for about two weeks we noticed a weird fog/scratching along the top of the bowl. When we clean it we tried to rub it off and it would not come off. It progressively got worse and covered about 1/4 of the top of the bowl. After about 6 months half of the lights went out. I would not recommend this product! It is cheap and now I know why. W eventually got a 2.5 gallon that holds two bettas at pet smart.

This was just a fun gift that turned out very well.
Rated 5 out of 5 by KLD103 Absolutely Beautiful!
Set it up on a glass topped end table quite by accident (I didn't really know exactly where I wanted it.) but the result was fantastic! I did not expect the colors to shine through to the floor right beneath the end table. The rings of color looked Fantastic! When I switched it to the color-shift mode I could not believe my eyes, the rings shifted right along with the colors! You really have to see this for yourself. You don't get much for 12 bucks these days, so I am really supprised. I plan on getting one for my mother and one for another room in my home. Oh by the way my Betta loves it!!!
Rated 1 out of 5 by HCOLP Pretty, but too small.
Could not keep fish alive in this bowl for more than 2-3 days even with rigorous water quality testing/changing, temperature control, etc. Rather that kill even more fish, our seven year old got a kitten instead.

The bowl makes fish look magnified at certain angles. The Led light is pretty neat but the bowl it's self not so great.
Rated 5 out of 5 by thestral Better than expected
This is a great tank for a betta fish. I would not recommend putting other types of fish into this tank because there is no filter but for a betta it is ideal. The description on the site and the box doesn't mention that the four led colors have multiple modes. It was a pleasant surprise! you can have the colors fade on and off or cycle trough all of them etc. I intend to buy the 3 gallon version next month!
