Better than expected This converter box not only does its job, but exceeded my expectations. There are options for favorites, sleep times, etc. and set up could not have been easier. In fact, I have already recommended to many of my friends to stop the cable bills and buy this box! 11/20/2009
It was a gift for a friend and they love it I purchased this for a friend that needed a digital box so they could watch TV.The said it was easy to set up and they just love it.I told them to be honest and they said they were.They also like the way the item looks and to tell the truth it is a more attractive digital box then I purchased for myself.Product is attractive, easy to set up, works well and does the job it was purchased for. 01/11/2010
Adequate - for now. This unit has MANY reviews on other websites (at least APEX does) and seems to be the same as many others: a necessary device for receiving HD OTA signals for those of us too cheap to upgrade our TV's.So far, I can't complain. The unit is simple to operate, good basic menus, and functions - nothing out of the ordinary here. The remote IS cheap, but functions well-enough.I've had this for abt 2 weeks, and so far my only complaint is that I keep losing a range of signals from a local broadcaster. This necessitates a reprogramming every few days to find the "missing" channels again. I suspect my antenna, but not 100% certain.I DID read that alot of people have this problem as well -- but it's not specific to this unit, rather ALL HDTV OTA Receivers.As long as this thing has the courtesy to die on me BEFORE the warranty expires, I'll be satisfied with it's performance. 11/24/2009
Easy Setup...but get rabbit ears Okay, if you have the old school antenna up on your roof, you are in luck...because you can get hundreds of channels! I just got the rabbit ears and get about 50 channels. You will need to adjust the ears and then run the setup to search for new channels again. Keep maneuvering the antenna and scan until you get the most channels. Love the menu guide, however, it isn't as good as you get with the cable channels, but it suffices. 04/03/2010
