Rated 5 out of 5★ by ETGHouston Great Movie Excellent movies and great deal to get 2 movies. Anne of the Thousand Days was out of print for years so to get 2 movies on DVD for the price is awesome. 02/23/2008
Rated 5 out of 5★ by MyRoyalOpinion Anne Of The Thousand Days / Mary, Queen Of Scots 2 I have seen both of these movies before on PBS. I just wanted a copy of them. I am a Scot and I am related to Mary, Queen of Scots. I wanted a copy of what my great, great, great, ancestor life was like. I just wanted these videos to remind me why I don't want to ever marry again. 12/13/2010
Rated 5 out of 5★ by LovesDVDs Great movie! I wanted to order only Anne of a Thousand Days but got the other as a bonus. Both movies are excellent and the acting is superb. If you like historical movies you will love both of these. I definitely recommend them! 01/24/2008
Rated 5 out of 5★ by booklovergirl An excellent older movie I saw this movie when it first came out years ago and loved it then too. It has a lot of English historyand is a romantic love story. The second movie in the set continues the story about 25 years later. 11/20/2007

Rated 5 out of 5★ by captebbtide Genevieve Bujold and Sir Richard Burton present tour de force performances as the spirited but doomed second queen to the corpulant monarch noted for his six wives. Also look for good performances from Sir Anthony Quayle and John Colicos, the latter remarkably villanous as the ambitious and calculating Thomas Cromwell, who paves the way for Henry VIII to dispose of his first wife, Catherine of Arragon, but then just as easily fabricates evidence to rid the king of Anne Bolyn, along with her supposed lovers, including her own brother George.Burton gives probably one of his finest performances of the king, half-mad with obsession for Bolyn, but even more driven to secure the succession to the throne of a male heir. It is indeed ironic that ultimately, Henry was succeeded in time by his daughter Elizabeth, by Anne Bolyn, as one of Britain's longest-ruling and greatest monarchs. 06/19/2012
