    • Talk to other villagers, help them with tasks, write letters back and forth and build relationships
    • Collect an assortment of items and artifacts and different plants, fish and insects
    • Help keep your village looking good so that it will be a desirable place for people to live
    • Visit the village often throughout the day, because different activities happen at different times; plus, special things sometimes happen on holidays
    • Pay off your debts and improve your house by returning daily, adding floors and new furnishings; watch how other characters improve their houses, which adds a competitive element
    • Up to 4 other players can move into the village and take turns playing in a shared village, cooperating and competing
    • Swap memory cards with friends who have the game, and travel to their villages to interact with different characters there
    • Connect to a Game Boy Advance using a Nintendo GameCube Game Boy Advance cable, and then players can travel from the village to a remote island and find exotic items
    • Hook up the new e-Reader through the Game Boy Advance and swipe Animal Crossing e-Reader cards to get special or rare items or even special messages from the characters living at Animal Crossing

    A truely unique game Animal Crossing is a very unique game compared to everything else out there. You can run around doing jobs for different animals residents and even take the train to another memory card and another town. The game is pretty complex in most ways but it does have it's weaknesses. For instance, whenever you go to another town, the chances of someone leaving your town for the other one are VERY high. And it doesn't matter what you do to make the animal happy and how many jobs you do for them...they will just randomly leave. The game gets a bit repetitive after a while with you running around doing "fedex quests", but overall, there should be enough to keep you busy like fishing, bug catching, fossil hunting, etc. The game can be incredibly addictive and even my wife who is mostly a non-gamer is interested in it, although she doesn't have a chance to play since the kids and I are playing it so much! 08/31/2007
