so-so Overall, it earns a "meh" from me. It takes a while to heat up. And since it's not wet-to-dry, it makes that horrid hissing sound if you've sprayed heat protectant on your hair. Also, it's ceramic/tourmaline PLATED, for those who don't know. That means average metal plates with ceramic/tourmaline coating that will eventually wear off. Still not bad for $25, and shipped fairly quickly. It's still healthier to use than a non-ceramic (coated) flatiron. It ~does~ add a little shine and straightens pretty well. my biggest issue with it is this: if you have thick hair and it takes over an hour to straighten it, you will have to flick the iron off and then back on again because IT SHUTS ITSELF OFF AFTER AN HOUR. Like, I was only 3/4 done. Not cool. Otherwise, it's a decent cheapie. 01/14/2012
