Andis Company 13-Piece High Torque Ergonomic Pet Clipper Kit With Instructional DVD 4 5 73 82
Beats the $90 pair! Awhile back, I purchased a pair of clippers for $90.00. They wouldn't go through ONE hair on my multipoo (more poodle than maltese). So I was leary of paying less and expecting more, but I read the reviews. One woman said she had a multipoo and they worked great. I decided to try them. Boy, was I impressed. Without the attachments, they just zip thru the curls. With the attachment, they are kinda slow, but work. And oh so quietly!! I decided to do maintenance on Boo once a week instead of waiting till his hair got longer and harder to cut. He doesn't mind it at all, even rolls over on his back and lets me get his belly and inside legs. This I attribute to the quiet motor. One woman said they got hot. Well, I used them for 45 minutes without stopping and they never got hot on me or Boo. I am very very pleased with them, and if something ever happens to them, would not hesitate to replace with identical item. Hope this helps. 02/28/2009
No replacement blades After watching the DVD I went to Andis's website to get more information on my new purchase of the pet clippers. I was unable to get any information on replacement blades for this product, so I called the 800 number for Andis. When I was talking to the customer service rep she told me that their company DOES NOT MAKE REPLACEMENT BLADES FOR THIS PRODUCT. Also she stated that with normal use this clipper will only last about a year. This product is going to be returned to Walmart. I want other people to know before you purchase, after reading the great reviews on this product. 01/19/2010
Cat Lovers I bought it for cutting my cats and no one could give me a review so I thought I would try it. It worked great on them. I am no pro at this but if your cats like to be brushed its better. You will prob have to get someone to help you as they have a short attention span and the stomach area is more difficult but its totally worth it. I used to take them to the groomer but its a lot for 2 cats and every 3 months was not enough for the shedding. Now I will cut their hair every few weeks. Very happy with it. OH and watch the video its only 14 mins. 06/28/2009
GREAT for small dogs!!! SO QUIET! I have tried numerous clippers in the past to clip my yorkie, but they have all been so loud that my dog completely freaks out and won't let me touch her. I was very hesitant to try these clippers, just because I feared that this would be money wasted on another clipper that says its quiet and yet is still too loud. Trust me, if you have a dog that doesn't like loud noises, these clippers will NOT disappoint you! It was like I was trying to trim a completely different dog! She just sat there and let us trim her, even up along the neck right behind her ears! If i had to compare it to something, I'd say that they are about as loud as one of those electric toothbrushes... SUPER quiet! The only reason I say that its great for small dogs is because cutting a larger dogs fur would take forever. These clippers do get hot after about 20 minutes of using. (Especially if you are just using the blade and no attachments... we found that when we used the attachments, the attachments themselves didn't get hot at all, just if you took the attachment off you could really feel how hot the actual blade got). It was easy for us, we just clipped her body until it go hot, then worked on her face with shears while the clippers cooled. after it cooled we just continued with the rest of her body. The clippers come with 6 attachments- 1/16 inch, 1/8 inch, 1/4 inch, 1/2 inch, 3/4 inch, and 1 inch. The video that comes with the clippers is ok... you can find better information by just going to youtube and typing in your breed name so that you can get the specific cut you are looking for.I am so impressed with these clippers, if you have a smaller dog, these will be well worth your money. If you have a larger dog, if you are willing to take breaks every so often to let the clipper cool, then I would definitely recommend them!Even though apparently (from reading other reivews) there is no replacement blade for these clippers, I will not hesitate to purchase these clippers again when the blade wears down. I attached before and after pictures of my yorkie, I am SO impressed with these clippers and I know that she is so happy with her summer coat. 04/30/2010
