Rated 5 out of 5 by MikaLicklickgirl Perfect for a 5-lb bag of flour! I love that this jar can hold a 5-lb bag of flour. I'm tired of hauling those heavy bags in and out of cupboards. I don't have much counter space so at first I was worried that these jars would be as big as the ones used by the Barefoot Contessa and Paula Deen... but upon receiving the items I realized that those must have been the 2-gallon jars. These 1-gallon jars are just perfect for the extra space on my kitchen island. I placed it right in front of my rolling space so I won't need to move the jars around as they're heavy. Just recently I dropped a jar of sugar as I was getting it out of the cupboard because I didn't bother to wash my floured hands! Very upsetting. I plan to get a couple more of these jars later on for beans and other dried goods. The lid doesn't seal so it's not advisable to store sugar in them. Anyhoo, I love these jars, period. I'm a fan of Anchor Hocking and I hope they will keep making quality products here in the USA for years to come. 05/26/2011
