Love these! I have been using these same style glasses since I was a kid. My dad had them back in the late 70's. I kept some of his when he died, but they broke over the years. I found a replacement set at Walmart in the mid 90's and was SO happy. I try not to shop at walmart, but since my son just broke the last of our large size of these, I am SOOO thrilled to find out that they are still available!!! Can't wait to get my new set. PS. When the glass fell to the floor, it did not smash into bits. One peice broke off and the rest of it just cracked. It was very easy to clean up. Very strong glasses! 11/09/2011
2 out of 8 chipped during first dishwasher load I was happy to get these glasses and they did stack for me, I checked before cleaning them for the first time. I only checked the smalled capacity glasses for stacking. As I put them in the empty dishwasher for the initial cleaning before use, 2 out of 8 of the small ones chipped at the rim ! I was not being reckless with them, and decided before even washing them or unpacking the bottom row, they were going back. I had purchase 2 boxes of them and was very disappointed. Perhaps I got a set that had defective manufacturing, as we have an older set that look nearly identical, made in France (no anchor hocking logo) that I have put in the dishwasher weekly for 7 years without ever chipping. If you buy these hopefully you will have better luck ... if not, return them and tell anchor hocking to use better glass or have better quality control. 12/08/2011
Eh... There are a few things that we were really not happy with once we started to 'use' these glasses.The rim is rather large and not super to drink from, it's just awkward.Also the shape that originally attracted us to these is *horribly difficult* to clean maybe in a DW they would be fine, but we don't and getting in those corners.... grrrr....They don't stack. at all. we had to chuck two of the sm. ones that cracked after getting stuck together.Don't put silverware in them. (we clear the dishes from fam. dinner by putting all of it in a glass)and twice it has popped out one of the 'corners'.We got what we expected for the price! $12/6mo. of use LOLJust get some normal glasses and be done with it! : ) 08/06/2011
