Seat bolts to a flat plate with one bolt, has an approx 3&quot; Dia. plastic washer between the plate and the plate on the bottom of the seat to keep it from squeaking when rotated. So what you would have to mount a boat seat to would be an approximately 6&quot; X 6&quot; plate with about a 1/4&quot; hole in the center.

It does not swivel like a boat seat it only moves a little to each side... You have to have it facing where you are planning on shooting are you will need to stand up../. I think you change it out...

Seat bolts to the pedestal with 1 - 5/16&quot; bolt through the center of the seat with a 4&quot; round pad between the seat and pedestal. Let&#39;s seat rotate 360 degrees quietly if you don&#39;t tighten it completely. Very comfortable with cushions on. A boat seat could be used. But, you would need to drill the holes for it yourself.

Bought this for my wife to use observing wildlife in our woods. It came in one box at about 150 lbs. so it was a little tough to handle but once on the driveway and opened up it was very easy. All the nuts and bolts come on shrink wrapped cards numbered and colored. The box because of weight was beat up on the ends and I had thoughts of missing parts, but everything was secure inside I really do not think any parts could have snuck out. It took me just three hours to assemble, may have gone faster if I had a helper. Once assembled my wife did help me carry it to the woods and we stood it up, very stable, she felt very comfortable climbing up and sitting in what she said was a pretty comfortable seat. Whether for observation or hunting I find this to be a five star stand!

Great Observation Tower

This is the best stationary stand out there! It's high enough to keep your scent off the ground,, it conceals movement with a camoflage skirt,, I've set in a lotta stands , in the last 40 years! At 57 yr old ? Comfort and concealment are keys to a good stand! I own 4 , right now! And will order more!

This was an awesome purchase so I actually bought 2 of these. I read mixed comments about the assembly but I assembled both of these stands in just under 3 hours by myself using the enclosed instructions which were very clear and easy to follow, however you will need another person to stand it up and get it into position. The adjustable legs made it very easy to level once in place. I placed these stands in a windy area so I did make longer stakes just to be safe but the ones included were probably fine. Other stands I considered did not include the skirt but these do which was also nice because it did block the wind which increases the comfort. These are very stable and the seat is very comfortable and I like the ladder better than the pegs and wire loops used on other brands. I am very satisfied my money was well spent and I can't wait to climb in during deer gun season and kick back. I might even spring for the roof kit later. Be safe and shoot responsibly.

Excellent Stand for a Great value

Easy to put together with a 10 and 13mm wrench. Standing up was easy with two people. Buy the top its worth it. Would not reccomend stand for someone over 250 pounds. Seat is nice and quiet. Will be buying another one instead of building box blind. This is a one person stand. Do not buy if you plan on taking a child with you.

light weight sturdy

This went together like a dream, all the holes lined up, and it is very stable.  If I have any criticism, it is the silly tent anchors they give you.  They would do absolutely nothing in my opinion.  If it had better anchors, it would have gotten 5 stars.  To solve the problem, since it stays in one place, I lag bolted it to 2/6 pressure treated boards, and anchored them with 2' tent spikes driven at an angle, with a piece of galvanized rod or nail through a hole, so they can't pull out.

Love it, with one exception

This is not a good tripod for bowhunting without modifications.  I built an extension to hold my bow above the shooting rail, because there is noway to shoot sitting, and you won't be able to sit with an arrow in your bow, not enough room to get your bow up quietly and quickly.  Otherwise it is decent quality for the price, and for gun hunting will work great.
