Exceeded my expectations! The picture doesn't do it justice. There are zippers on both sides so either person has access to get in and out without having to crawl over someone. Very cozy.

We were pleasantly surprised by the quality and value of this double queen sized bag. It can be used either as two twins or zipped together to make one queen. It's even made in the USA!

Seems interesting that the dimensions of the specifications indicate a rectangle, but differing amounts of fill and differing dimensions of two bags (particularly length) as being different. Is that right?
by dbolical 3/24/2010
  • no,no such thing as twin bag.they are 2 different length bags of same width, one with 4lbs. fill, one with 3lbs. fill.longer 4lb. fill bag intended for use on bottom, shorter 3lb.fill bag intended for use on top.

  • No,..it is one. It is the size of a queen mattress.

  • That is exactly what it is: 2 sleeping bags zipped together, but when I bought it on sale and that made it like 20 bucks a bag which is a great deal for a couple going camping or super comfy for larger people.

  • Yes, they are two twin bags that can zip into a queen. Regarding the differnet dimensions, it is true - one of the bags is a few inches shorter than the other. I think they did this so there would be a shorter piece on top of the person/people sleeping in it when it's a queen...i.e. the top blanket part would come up to the person's chin instead of all the way over their head. If that makes sense! Hope this helps.

  • No - the queen is really just that - zippers on either side but it is definitely just 1 bag meant for 2 people.

What are the 4 black elastic bands at the end of the bag for? Ive tried to figure out how to roll it up in order to use the bands to secure the rolled bag but I can't figure it out??
by Rachel101 7/26/2011
  • either rolled individually or zipped together, fold once, roll.circumference same either way, double 33 in. wide, single 16.5 in. wide.bands are designed for circumference of single bag doubled.which is same as double bag folded in half but double length.
    by unk14/28/2012
Was this answer helpful? (0) (0)
  • the elastic bands are to maintain rolled configuration.when utilised in the double setup you end up with what looks like a rolled sleeping bag double wide,in single configuration looks like any normal rectangular bag.these are 2 sleeping bags of differing length and fill weight but same width zipped together.

  • unzip it, zip it into single bags. Then fold each single bag into thirds, long ways & roll up. Use the elastic bands to secure :-)

  • Lay out the bag lengthwise with the zipper closed. Fold once. Making sure the elastic straps are on the bottom side, roll from the "head" end as tightly as possible. Grasp one of the straps and pull it around the rolled bag, then do the same with the other strap. You need to hold the bag securely while you do this, maybe get someone to help hold it. You need to keep it from exploding and needing to be re-rolled. It's a slippery little devil...

  • You have to separate the bags, zip them - fold them in half lengthwise and roll them and then use the two bands to secure the bedroll - they don't pack up well zipped together ....
    by WNYCAMPINGGIRL11/7/2011
Was this answer helpful? (0) (0)
  • Idk how u are rolling it, but make sure it is not doubled up bc the elastic bands will not wrap around it. When the 2 are separated and zipped fully roll tightly towards the elastic then stand the rolled bag up and wrap the 1 elastic around the top, then flip and repeat. hope that helps
    by An anonymous customer1/27/2013
Was this answer helpful? (1) (0)
  • You would use all four bands if separating the bag into two then rolling them up (like they came). If you want to roll it with the bag zipped together, just fold it in half, start at the head and when you get to the feet use the two outside bands to secure it.
