    Surpassed ALL expectations!

Having last flown in January after a space of 4+ years, I realized how many people were "travelling light" thereby congesting the overhead bins. With an August trip pending, I set off in search of the perfect under seat rolling bag. After several weeks of online review reading and department store exploring, I gave up and determined my beaten up soft (non-rolling) duffel would have to do. I went for my final pre-trip Walmart snack run, and suddenly saw before me ( as I looked for a collapsible water bottle) this vision of perfection!! I checked its proportions (15" X 14" X 8.5"), drooled in anticipation at its apparent price ($52), snatched it up and ran for the check out. Only upon checking my receipt did I realize its actual cost was only $39!!! What a steal! Now back from my trip of one week, I can gleefully report it to be the perfect bag! I did use a small space bag to compress most of my six outfits, and there wasn't much room for more than a few small purchases, but it whipped in, under and out of the under seat space so wonderfully on all four flights. I pitied all the other old biddies having to stretch groaningly to get their carry on bags up and down from the cramped overhead bins while I simply had to wait for said old biddies to make room for me to scoot on down the aisle. :)

    Great carry on piece

My 14 yr old son bought this to carry on all his electronics in his recent flight from Tpa to Nashville. He loved it. It held his portable DVD player, DS, laptop, DVD's, etc. It holds alot, and has one big and one small size zipper pocket. The rolling handle collapses down in case you prefer to carry it. It will fit under the seat in front as well as the overhead bin. It was a unplanned purchase, but well worth the money.

Spirit Airlines update - fits yes and no

Customer review by An anonymous customer

I bought this bag because I saw a youtube video that shows it being used to avoid Spirit Airlines carryon fee. The good news is it does fit under the seat. The bad news is if you try to fit it in the metal sizer box in front of the gate, it will NOT fit. So, if the gate agent actually asked you to put the tote in the metal size testing box (for free personal item), it would fail and you would have to pay some huge bag fee (I think it's a $100 at the gate). Neither one of my flights asked me to do that, so I was good. I never saw an agent ask anybody about their carryon. The tote itself is very nice. The inside is almost as big as a normal carryon suitcase. I'm convinced if you are organized you could pack all of your things for your trip in there. I loved the outside access for your tablet and a separate smaller zip for your boarding documents.

    • No it doesn't have a shoulder strap. It has Velcro handles to carry it and the pull up handle to pull it. I think it would be awkward to carry it with a should strap.

    • This bag does not have a shoulder strap. I would be very awkward to try to carry over your shoulder. It's more like a carry on suitcase than a backpack or bag.

    • There is no shoulder strap, it may be a bit too big for that. It has the retractible handle and also two strap handles that connect with a velcro cover. I believe there is also a little side handle that pulls out, making it easier to grab off the top of an overhead bin.

    • Yes....but it is 1/4" inches too big on the bottom to fit the Spirit free personal item bin. You have to cut off the plastic edges...just clip the overhang with a pair of scissors carefully not to cut the fabric and it will fit the bin just fine. I put black duct tape over the cut plastic since the cut edge might be a bit sharp.

    • I bought it just for that purpose but also covered by buying first leg carry on bag... it would not fit in the free bin at the airport gate--the wheels are the bottom make it just a little too wide.... AND this time -- flying out of DFW--the gate agent specifically said that bags with wheels were supposed to be a paid item-- first time I had heard that specific qualification... I admit I didn't try to fit it under the seat in front of me when I got on the plane so I can't say if it would and would not in real world situation fit under the seat... but if they are starting to check for wheeled vs no wheel luggage now i don't think I want to get into an argument with an aggressive agent...
