great book, a little slow to get into. an american hero. enjoyed his human side and sense of humor. a personal aside; folks younger than the viet nam era and the end of the draft have no concept of the military - these young people willingly go into combat for 3 and 4 tours, they give up their home life over and over again. they are true patriots. to that end this book is also educational, that's the life they live and willingly give. i appreciate him sharing it. 02/02/2012
