I got this as a gift for my granddaughter. I put it together without problem. It is comparable to ones costing a lot more money. The only problem was that the burner unit had been damaged in shipment. I contacted the company on their web site and explained the problem. They did not hesitate or make me jump through hoops. They immediately sent a replacement part and the unit is perfect for my granddaughter now. Mine is not the color of this one. Mine is white, gray, amber and pink.

My one year daughter loves this kitchen set. It took my husband about 30 min to assemble, even though the description says an hour, so that was great. She can't reach the microwave yet, but that's fine because she usually grows out of most of her toys, and this one will be around for a while, it can grow with her.

I am wanting to know if the oven and refrigerator compartments open and do they have shelves inside to put things inside. I want a kitchen system that can be used like a real kitchen and able to store items in proper places. Thanks.

    • Yes all the compartments open and food and dishes can be stored in them. "fake food" of course lol

    • Yes the fridge, microwave, dishwasher, and oven open and yes they have shelves but there isn't a ton of storage. We have a little bin of food toys right next to it that serves as the extra storage we needed.

    • Yes, all the compartments open and have shelves. The fridge, oven, microwave, and dishwasher all open. On the bottom, there are 2 basket "drawers". There is also a 3 tiered shelf on one side that has no door.

    • Oven, Fridge and Dishwasher all open and have shelves inside. Also the "water/ice dispenser" on the fridge moves like one on a real fridge. Oven and dishwasher have knobs that move, too. Sink knobs turn, stovetop lights up and makes boiling or sizzling sounds when pot is put on it. Microwave opens up and there are hooks for spatulas and a holder for play phone. There are 2 storage bins for the plates, and cups and such.

My daughter is 7 and I was wondering if this is to small for her? She is the height of an average 7 yr old. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

    • I have an in-home daycare. My kids are 2-4 years old and love this kitchen. My granddaughter is 7 years old and loves to play with it also, but she is much taller than the kitchen....something bigger would probably be better.

    • possibly. My daughter is almost 4 and 39 in tall. She is just perfect for it. So I guess it depends on actual height

    • I would think that a 7y.o. would not get too much playtime out of this concidering thier attention span. Although my 7 y.o. son plays with my 2y.o. daughter inthis kitcher for about 2 hours at a time unless he knows we are wathing him!

    • She could play with this kitchen if you have space constraints, but it's really too small for a child of that height.

    • well i bought it for my 2 year old daughter and it's almost a perfect fit but my 5 year old plays with it also and it's pretty small for him so I'm thinking it wouldn't be a good fit for a 7 year old. But that all depends on your individual child :)

    • My 4 year old, who's a little bigger than average, is already almost too big for it. I'd say it would be too small for a 7 year old.

    • I used utility scissors or kitchen scissors, you don't really need any special tool, just something that can cut thru hard plastic.
