One of the more underrated contestants in American Idol history, Haley Reinhart belted her face off during the show's 2011 season, earning a third-place finish when she arguably deserved something better. Several months after the May 2011 finale, Wal-Mart began releasing a string of Idol-related EPs, each one of which focused on a specific finalist from Season 10. Reinhart's record is easily the best, not only because her best songs are all featured, but because she already sounds like a pro. Whereas Lauren Alaina and Scotty McCreery betrayed their youth on their own EPs, both of them imitating the styles of other country singers instead of blazing their own trails, Reinhart slays everything she touches, lacing her songs with neo-soul grit but rarely, if ever, oversinging. She's a multi-dimensional singer, with a jazz background that adds a sexy, boozy sway to the rock numbers ("You Oughta Know," "What Is and What Should Never Be") and soul songs ("Bennie and the Jets," "Rolling in the Deep"). That's a hard thing to do on American Idol, where contestants fight over pre-packaged roles in order to win the country vote, the rock vote, the throwback singer vote, and so on. Haley sings her heart out! Loved her on American Idol - - and love love her voice. SHE SHOULD HAVE WON AMERICAN IDOL!!! She's talented and beautiful. I'd go to see her in a minute. Sorry - the person that won doesn't have the voice - talent - that this Haley has. Her voice blows me away!!! Don't understand WHY she's not becoming popular --other people that have not won --have MADE IT!! THIS GIRL needs to be promoted!!!! WONDERFUL SINGER! FANTASTIC VOICE.
The only song that was missing from this was "I who have nothing" - disappointed this was not on this CD!!

Ignore the negative reviews. I suspect that most if not all of the negative reviews are from people who have not even listened to or purchased this CD. They are fans from other American Idol contestants who still feel that they are competing against Haley. If you are a fan of classic rock you will love this EP. Haley is a throwback to singers of the past but adds a new and current flare to the songs covered on this album. She also covers the current hit single by Adele (Rolling in the Deep) with aptitude.

I really enjoyed Haley's music during AI her live performances were amazing.
The songs are different than her live performances, first they are the full songs, and Haley has away of reinventing the music, breathing new life to old songs.
She has a new style about her and I find her very entertaining.

Excellent styles Haley brings to Music.

It was disappointing when Haley Reinhart was 'voted off' at number four; but her voice and vocal style suits the songs on this CD perfectly. Never thought I'd hear a woman sing 'House of the Rising Sun' or 'Bennie and the Jets'; but Haley does serious justice to both of these rock classics.

Haley's voice sends chills ...

I have never watched American Idol since this season. But, I tuned in this year and became an instant fan(atic) of Haley Reinhart. Her voice is just stunning. In a time when singers are being studio sweetened and auto-tuned to within an inch of their lives; along comes this 20 year old vocal musician with the most organically soulful, bluesy, jazzy, powerful set of pipes I've heard in a long time. The songs on this CD are of a higher sound quality than other downloads. Of course it sounds amazing blasting from my stereo. But I also burned the CD and loaded it onto my MP3 player. The sound superiority was so noticeable, I deleted my other downloads and replaced them with these. Haley's brilliantly nuanced voice shines here. Every inflection, flourish, belt and, yes, the (only occasional) growl is crystal clear. And she totally kills "You Oughta Know". Unlike the AI performance, she slams the verses and the choruses. And, in my opinion, outshines the original. Buy it! Buy It! Buy it!

Haley-lujah - Buy This!!

This album is missing "I Who Have Nothing", one of Haley's best performances on the show. Other than that, no complaints at all about this album. We finally get to hear the studio version of "You Oughta Know" which is worth the price of this EP alone. Can't wait to hear some original music from Haley in the hopefully not so distant future.

An outstanding compilation

Haley Reinhart is by far the Best of AI Season 10 and has the talent and package to move to the next level. As shown with her poor treatment on AI, she took the knocks and came back and smacked the nay-sayers in their grills...EP is terrific...Already own 4 of the 5 songs via Itunes, but wanted to support Haley and bought 2.

Haley is one of the best singers ever in the history of Idol -she has a very unique tone and style. Haley is a Superstar in the making and here's your chance to own her first CD. For those of you who didn't watch Idol, check this CD out, you won't regret it!

Personally, I think Haley's version of "Rolling in the Deep" was even better than Adele's... and her jazzy Bennie and the Jets is the best version I've ever heard.

Haley Reinhart did a fantastic job recording all these tracks. Her voice is so distinctive that you know it's her. She puts her own mark into it. All the tracks here are a must have and guarantee you won't regret buying. I have no doubt this girl will be big soon.

Since the first time I heard Haley Reinhart perform I was instantly obsessed! I can't get enough of her voice.. Every song I have heard her sing I like more then the original! Since we can at the click of a button download everything I haven't bought a CD in over 10 years! This is the best 5 bucks I have ever spent! Can't wait to buy her original album as well!!! And better yet concerts! I promise Miss Reinhart is a legend in the making! Haley fan for life right here! Buy this CD! Haley never EVER disappoints!!!
