I have wavy/curly hair, and I wanted something to hold my hair in place so it didn't just look good in the morning but stayed put throughout the day. I tried gels, but those just made my hair crunchy and untouchable and weren't reliable. So I looked around and found Axe pomade and American Crew pomade. I personally feel like Axe is the more expensive of lowbrow products, and decided on American Crew because it seemed of higher quality. The price, in general, of these little things is a downer, but you get what you pay for. THIS POMADE IS GOOD FOR MEDIUM LENGTH OR LONG HAIR (I think best with wavy hair). It isn't greasy and allows for re-molding later in the day if you wish. Also, a little goes a long way. American Crew has many other products such as Fiber, which is only good for short hair, Grooming Cream, also good for wavy/curly hair but has a stronger hold, Forming Cream, which is kind of a general for-all-types-most-situations kind of thing, Molding Clay, which is pretty much wax, and Defining Paste, which is only to be used with fine or thinning hair.

American Crew Pomade is the easiest pomade to use. While American Crew is pricey, it is by far the best pomade I have ever used. It has a pleasant smell. I also recommend using American Crew shampoo.
