Alan Wake - Limited Edition (Xbox 360) 5 5 4 4
Shaping Up To Be Fantastic! To advise readers, this game is not yet out, nor have I played it. What I can express to you is this: I am keenly looking forward to this title. Announced back In 2005, I've been awaiting this constantly-delayed game for years. Unfortunately for PC users, that version has been canceled (for now) but I believe it will be making its rounds soon after the hype for console exclusivity dies down. I am glad to say I own an Xbox 360 and couldn't express how eagerly anticipated I am for the thriller. This is bound to be an intense, story driven experience with impeccable graphic and sound quality. With the slightly cliche style of narration from a television series one would expect, you will experience in Alan Wake. With that being said, don't expect it to have the most realistic scripting/dialogue ever conceived. But, if you are one of the millions of fanatics of any addictive television series and enjoy an unpredictable story, this is YOUR game. An absolute must buy! I will be pre-ordering the special edition that will be bundled with price-worthy extras; I recommend those foaming at the mouth to follow suit. Enjoy gamers, and PC users, I hope you get your break! 02/14/2010
Fantastic game, great bonuses with Limited Edition I love this game. Originally, I borrowed it from a friend, and I flew through it, finishing in just three days (although I spent most of those three days playing). The atmosphere is great, the characters are believable, the gameplay is cleverly designed and fun, the soundtrack (included with the special edition) is breathtaking, and the story is one of the best I have ever had the pleasure of experiencing. Put it all together, add some crazy scenarios (which I won't spoil), and you've got a winning formula. Seriously, if you own an Xbox 360, don't pass this one up.The limited edition is especially nice. Bound in vinyl, it is designed to look like a book, and I have actually fooled people into thinking it was a book, until I let them handle it. Also included is a soundtrack cd, a short book ("The Alan Wake Files", which dives deeper into the lore of Bright Falls, WA, and provides some interesting back story on Alan Wake and Agent Nightingale, and even includes a short story by Alan Wake, "The Sudden Stop"), a bonus disk with director's commentary, an Avatar award, and a very nice 360 theme, among other things. Getting the game new (limited edition or not) gets you the first DLC chapter free, which costs $7 otherwise. Why am I still typing a review? If you're riding the fence on this purchase, let me help: Do it. You won't regret it. 11/04/2010
I am AWAKE! A very inspiring experience the likes of which the video game industry has rarely seen before. A story that will capture your interest the first time you put it in! 07/20/2010
