      Aiptek Action-HD GVS I really enjoy this camera so far. I put a short test video up on YouTube yesterday and one of my friends ordered the Adiptek Action HD GVS today after seeing the HD quality of the video. 12/28/2009
      Great Camcorder - Much better than expected After reading other reviews I thought that I would take the chance and order this camcorder. I figured that I could take it back and to Walmart if I needed and splurge with a $900 Sony if it didn't work out.The reviews were so-so on some of the functionality of this less than $200 high definition camcorder. I wanted something compact and lightweight to record videos of my 5 yo. Easy to use also...I didn't expect much.What I received and the camcorder's performance exceeded my expectations.This camcorder doesn't advertise itself as professional and I'm not a professional user but I've had NO TROUBLE using this indoors at night with florescent lighting. The controls are straightforward and I've yet to refer to the manual. For those reviewers that state that they have a grainy video in low light. I took a video in my kitchen and living room. It came out great. I took it to the local Y and recorded my 5 yo swimming. OUTSTANDING! Both times were at night and indoors. I set the camcorder on night setting with florescent lighting. Both my wife and my jaws dropped when we played it back. I used it on 720 and 1080 high def without a difference in low light quality (other than resolution). You should note that the stabilization works only in the 720p mode (not 1080). So if you are using the 3x zoom and want stabilization you will need to do 720p.I can't wait to record during the day.The camcorder comes with a lens cover, wrist strap, canvas pouch, cords that connect to your computer, HD TV and a charger. It comes with software to play on your computer which I haven't used yet.I haven't taken still photos with it and don't plan on it. I have a separate camera for that.If you want a low cost, reasonably good camcorder for the holidays. This is it. Enjoy.This doesn't come with an SD memory card so you will need one. 12/03/2009
      An Awesome HD Camera For Dirt Cheap! I recently purchased the Aiptek A-HD GVS camcorder and I have to say that I am absolutely in love! For a $180 camera you get great HD quality movies. It comes with a little carrying case and table top tripod which is also definitely a plus. Even though the low light quality is pretty poor, which I knew prior to getting it, the pros absolutely outweigh the cons. Outside under sunlight the images this little camera captures turn out great! I just took it to the zoo and got some amazing footage. I haven't posted any of my videos yet, but there are plenty of videos on youtube and vimeo that showcase the video quality. It also takes great still shots. I never thought that having only 5x optical zoom would be so good, and it doesn't distort the image quality at all.All in all, I absolutely love this camera and would recommend it to anyone who wants an HD camera for cheap. 06/23/2009
      Very good quality picture The camcorder has a very high quality picture for the price.It is very easy and intuitive to use.It records on an SD card and it makes it so much easier to transfer the video files to your computer. Works perfectly with Linux as well.Just keep in mind that it does not come with and SD card. You have to buy one separately. 10/28/2009
