product works as you would expect. Outside tempurature sensor is solar sheilded so no false readings. It would be nice to have an atomic clock but for $50 what do you expect. The wireless range is decent also. I have the two units about 65 feet apart and it is 100% on the signal.

It has a fair amount of info on the base unit, including heat index and dew point. However on a gusty day of winds over 20mph, the unit only showed 11mph. I had a LaCrosse unit next to this one, and the LaCrosse gave a better accuracy reading of wind speed showing 19mph. It does make a difference where the anemometer is located to get the correct wind speed, usually the higher the better. I did return it.

    • A. No, but that would be nice. Would probably up the price significantly though. I have an airport quality windsock on a 20 ft. pole right over my weather station so I can see where the wind is coming from. Of course my neighbors think I'm a nut. (but I think it's my tin foil hat)

    • A. Yes it does. It averages the wind speed over 18 seconds and reports it as wind speed. It then averages the speed over a long time (I don't know how long) and reports that as average wind speed.
