Okay, so I picked up this item from the store and it came in a pretty good sized box... Got it home, opened it up and there are NO instructions.. about 6 curved pieces and 3 small baggies. One baggie with a half ball that is white, one with a half ball that is clear and the third baggie with magnets. Now here comes the fun part...putting it together. Putting the curved pieces together in the "hoop" formation was the easiest part. Insert and twist to lock...okay. Now we come to the part where we make the little magnet filled spheres... This is why I rated it a 3 and would not recommend: Unless you have a good hour of time to waste and are crafty, I suggest you return this... About 9 of the little clear ball pieces are warped, cracked or mishapen (From being hot in shipping I'm guessing) and will NOT fit into the white socket unless you shape or cut them down a little. Lucky for me, I have a dremmel set and I was able to easily shape them down and get them to pop in with a little force. A little messy with the plastic shavings, but hey...I got my product to work. NOW (I know this is long, bear with me) ! It's all put together and it is HUGE! I'm not small girl..I'm 5'10" and curvacious, and this hoop looks like something in a circus! It's not very comfortable, but I knew that it wasnt going to be like hula hooping a pillow :P

This is the biggest joke. I have never seen anything more ridiculous. You have three bags of stuff with six pieces of plastic and no directions. Pieces were missing. Most of the pieces did not fit. How are you supposed to use this? Do not even bother purchasing. Mine was received today and is going back today. What a waste of money and time.

It's very easy to assemble. It was difficult to start with the first few days but gets better and easier as you do it every night. And the good thing is I just do it for 5 minutes before going to bed and 5 minutes in the morning before taking a shower.

Product comes COMPLETELY unassembled, which I suspected would be the case after researching this item online. So I though I could do it myself, and after a bit of frustration with putting the magnet containing balls together (don't try to just squeeze them together by hand!) I found what worked best was to put the clear side of the balls on a table, drop in the magnet and press the white side into the clear side. Press assembled balls into the holes in the hoop sections then plut the hoop pieces together. I found that the twist lock mechanisms didn't work the way they should so I taped over mine with packing tape. That sucker is NOT going to separate and fall apart any time soon. I've used it a few times, its not unpleasant as I had heard others describe, you just have to start slow, maybe 1 minute session 2x a day for a week. Work up to 5 minutes then finally 10. This thing IS huge, Has a circumference of I think 76'. You'll need a very large open area to use this properly and without it crashing into things while you're hooping. Good luck!

    • A. It's not heavy enough for a strong aroebic workout. It's heavier than a child's, and a good size, but slips easily. A weighted hoop usually costs more. Hope that helped.

    • A. The parts weigh just shy 2.5 pounds. If you're a serious hooper make another selection. If you're resurrecting a memory from hooping at 4 years old the summer before the Cuban Missile crisis, then get out your rubber mallet and tussle with this schmegeggy.
