Great PC For Ordinary Use I bought this computer a few months ago now; and it has been just perfect for my purposes. The installed Linpus Linux operating system was pretty lame - so I immediately installed Ubuntu Linux. That worked well for a few months. When an upgrade to Ubuntuu later failed, I instead installed Windows 7. No problems & works great. I have it hooked up to a flat screen TV & use it to watch Netflix, Hulu, Youtube videos etc. No hardcore gaming here, and for me the installed 2 GB of RAM has proved to be adequate for Win 7. Is easily upgradeable to 4 GB RAM if you wish. I also bought a USB DVD drive for it, so I watch movies on it too! 01/17/2012
This computer is a real pain. This computer experience has been horrible. On some pages...when one scrolls down, the parts of the page separate and don't scroll together. Then it scrolls down on its own and won't stop until it gets to the bottom. I have to VERY GENTLY click to get the page to scroll correctly. It's VERY annoying. On some applications when you type it's very slow to add the words to the page. For example, when I typed to Zynga and Walmart about the problems I'm having, I got up, did something, came back and the paragraph was still typing. Farmville (a Facebook game) will not load. I wrote to Acer about the problem. They told me it is probably a problem with the browser setting and I would have to pay for tech support to help me fix.I suggest...if you love computers and finding fix it solutions, this is the model for you. If you want to open the box and have it work well, skip this one. I honestly don't know if I got a defective one or if this is a bad model. I deeply regret buying this computer. 03/09/2012
