Wish local Walmart carried again I do dog rescue; this is the size I buy most often; sure wish my local Walmart would carry it again. When I have to order, it takes about a week to get. That's too long to keep a dog in a smaller crate. 05/01/2011

Nice crate, but sizes are misleading! I bought this crate for my German shepherd puppy. The crate is sturdy and has worked well. But at only 7 months he has already outgrown it! We bought the X-large size, but it is NOT as big as they describe. The inches refer to the EXTERIOR size, not the interior space that the dog has. The description for the X-large crate says it is 40in long and 27in wide, but the INTERIOR of the X-large crate only measures 34 inches by 22 inches -- not enough room for my 80-lb puppy! So now we have to spend more money on a larger crate, rather than having a big enough one to begin with. Not such a great bargain! So just be careful -- buy at least one size larger than you think you need for your dog! 03/10/2011
