ASPCA High Pile Sherpa Crate Mat Small 2 4
A chain is never stronger than the weakest link I was very excited when I pulled my ASPCA High Pile Sherpa Crate Mat out of the box. Then I turned the mat over. And the backside was covered in a black fibrous material that reminded me of paper but the fiber was some type of cloth. My previous experience has been that after a few washings, such material disintegrates in the wash.This material was a bit better because of the "rubber" dots on the material tended to strengthen and reinforce it.The item I purchased wasn't available in the store; although a larger size was. However the one in the store had real cloth on the back instead of the "cloth" that seemed to be made like paper is made, but using cloth fiber instead of wood fiber.Don't by this ASPCA High Pile Sherpa Crate Mat. Instead, buy the one in the store so that you can visibly check out the construction. 08/10/2011
These crate mats said"high pile Sherpa" but that was only around the edges. In the middle where your dog lies, is about one inch of padding - not nearly enough to be comfortable. But for $8.00 each, I got what I paid for. 05/01/2011
