My doctor told me you can keep it for 24 hours opened and it would still be good.

Yes, it will keep four day. I open a vial & recap it & it's been fine.
I have some in a zip-loc small baggie in my purse & use each vial more than once - it seems to be fine in the year that I've been doing this.

I would recommend not to because any liquid might be infected especially by bacteria known as Psuedomonas. It would not be nice to introduce a bacterial or fungal infection into your eye. Please use it quickly.

You are actually not supposed to use these after they are opened. But years ago the package said you could use it within a 12 hour period. That's how I still use them, and I have been fine. I wouldn't use them after 12 hours.

This is not thick, but a tear-like liquid. If you need a gel, this is not for you. It will drip out of the eyes and doesn't last as long as s gel. I have severe dry eyes, and I use these drops, but I have to put them in every 15 minutes or so, and yes, they are very expensive.

The doc is right because the preservative free is a lot kinder to your eyes.

These do have a re-closable cap but should not be used any longer than 12 hours once opened.

Although not a gel with the cap being able to keep it up to 12 hours I can do my eyes about 5 times within the 12 hours so they aren't as expensive as one might imagine. Blessings to you.

Watery. These would not be what you are looking for.

YES , these have much more viscosity than regular eye drops. I&#39;ve been using these for 20 plus yrs now as I have Sjogren&#39;s Syndrome. If you need an over night type buy gel based lubricants. These are heavy oil based and it takes a few seconds after applying for your eyes to clear.
They make tons of less viscosity drops for people with lesser dry eye. Bosch and lomb makes a drop called -rejuvenation- which is perfect for dry eye and reading or watching TV. They are very low viscosity and work well. ...and yes they are expensive - this company also has a serious problem with the caps fitting properly once you open the vials. (be aware) if they don&#39;t fit tight use them up or do not store them as long. Tear Natural are my go to drops.......I&#39;ve tried every brand made -

I use Tears Naturale many times per day each day. It helps my severe dry eyes more than any other product and since it's preservative free it does not irritate.

Best help for dry eyes

These Alcon Eye Drops are so convenient to use and getting 60 in a box at this price really makes this an excellent value.  My Ophthalmologist suggested putting the box in the refrigerator so that the vial will be cool when introduced into the eye--it is much more refreshing that way.  Also, he said that the cap is tight fitting and there is enough liquid in the vial for 2 applications (4 drops) so that the cap can be replaced and the vial will still be sealed for the next and last use--thus you get twice as much for your buck!

Great Eye Drops at a Great Price!

I live in the low desert where is very little humidity. Tears Naturale II does not make my eyes burn, all the others I've tried did.  I  have used them for quite a few years now.
I was disappointed  not to find them on the shelf but had to order them online.  They are also much less expensive than the other brands.   I need to tell you that I do not use it once and throw the rest away. The little tube of water or whatever it is lasts about a week. I do not carry them with me.

Dry eyes

This is different from many other artificial tears in that it is preservative free. This means it will not burn or irritate your eye, and it can be safely used more frequently than eye drops containing preservatives. Useful if you are having a bad episode of dry eye and cannot get to an ophthalmologist right away. It also contains a larger volume of liquid than comparable products like refresh optive single use vials. That is also a great product, just a much smaller volume per unit.

Excellent product.  Disturbing to see Walmart price of product increase nearly 60% from ~$12 to ~$20 in about 100 days.

COST OF PRODUCT

Has no preservative & comes in individual vials that are reclosable - can be used more than once.
Tried so many other better known brands but this one gives the most relief at a way better price.
Convenient to carry in purse or pocket without leaking. Gives my eyes the relief & lubrication they need without any irritation. Gives me crystal clear vision - no blurriness. Especially good during allergy season.

Exceptional Eye Drops

After having lasik surgery over a year ago, I've been left with horribly dry eyes. As a result, I've tried about every brand of preservative-free drops. These are the best value. The sizes of the drops are huge and there are 60 of them, vs Refresh brand where the same price would get you maybe 20ct.

I have used these eye drops for years, and all of a sudden the local store is not carrying them!   I ordered them on line, because of this.   I also noticed the price increase on this survey.  From what I paid $11.97 to $17.87????  Isn't that a pretty big 
increase?  

Why do you quit carrying things in local stores that are popular, and apparently these eye drops are, as I have found you out of them 2-3 times before.

Alcon Tears Naturale II Preservative free Vials

Walmart has an error in the name of this product. There is a product called Alcon Tears Naturale II, but it's not the product pictured here. This one is called just plain "Alcon Tears Naturale", no II. The package contains 60 individual vials of artificial tears. It is by far the best product of its kind. Other products are in much smaller vials and if you miss your eye, like I sometimes do, you have to open another vial. This one lets you try again. I use it nightly to prevent dry eyes and it works great.

The product name is Alcon Tears Naturale -- No II

I ordered 3 boxes of Alcon Tears, 60 count, and 2 arrived with broken seals.   These seals are very hard to break without a knife or sharp instrument.  The seals were not cut but had been ripped, probably by a fingernail.  Seal printing said to return if seal broken, which I will.

These drops are VERY good drops -- just don't need defective merchandise.
