Even though the book came in 1 day late, it was worth the wait. Great 2nd book in the series.
Surprisely good condition.

I read the first book, then the second, and now I am on this, the third, of the five books in the series. Martin does a good job of continuing the plots of the prior books, following five or six characters and their further adventures. I thought Kate Sark would kill Tyrion in the cell, not free him. It seemed so out of character for her, kids or not. It was her (actually Robb's) bargaining chip, and she emotionally gave him away. The dwarf is the most likable character in the whole book, and he is supposed (at least by name) to be one of the bad guys. Maybe that's what I like about the series, the good and bad all have faults and virtues of sorts. All the plotting and schemes add a lot of spice to the books. The only real casualty has been Ned Stark, who was a good guy with principles (and curiosity). Anyway, if you are reading this book, you probably have read the others, so you are already hooked. Enjoy.
