I read the reveiws, not so good, but for the price and $.97 shipping to home, I grabbed it!! To my surprise I was delighted, and Glad I purchased this one. It may not be the Fanciest style, but after all, I just want to get my hair dried!! I had no problems with the height adjustment, I just put it on a tray stand, put a regular chair next to the stand with a pillow on the seat and Presto,my hairs dry!! I love the big bonnet as I use very large rollers, no problem. There isn't really a slide to adjust, but to get the hood to the comfy, level after I get under the hair dryer I just lift hood and it catches on a fold and it puts hood out further,I'm only 5'4" The high temp. is really hot, but quick, the low temp is just right, for enjoying a few minutes of relaxing. Love my hair dryer, may buy another one before their out, as price was very resasonable plus $.97 ship to home price!!

The hair dryer is very loud but it also does dry your hair very well. I have two problems with it , Firstly the height adjustments are not very good as it is hard to find a right position i have to use cushions (I am 5 5) secondly, even if you open the vent the front of your hair still doesn't dry properly , I have to turn around and face the dryer to dry the front of my hair. It comes fully assembled and works well. I would suggest that you run it for about 5 mins before using it, so that the motor runs (you will smell a bit of burning). So far its a good dryer for the value.

This was purchased to replace an older , broken, Conair dryer belonging to my mother. The first impression when removing it from the package is, "WOW this thing is CHEAP" !! It's made of plastic that is similar in thickness and feel as some plastic tumblers you would drink out of at a back yard picnic. After the initial shock of opening the package, we decide to test it for operation. The motor is a little on the noisy side, but not terribly so. Air flow is very good but the hood doesn't have any holes more than, 1/4 way down the bonnet. Also, the bonnet does not adjust it's height, so you will have to either raise and lower yourself or the entire dryer to get the set up you desire. If you are just looking for a dryer that works on a budget this will do, but if you are looking for quality, I would suggest looking further up in the price range.

I bought this as a gift after readling all of the positive reviews. The product was a great dissapointment. It is not well constructed, has only two (not four) speed a heat seatings - high/hot and low/cool. There are limited height adjustments which end up leaving hair wet in certain areas. This is a definite don't buy.

Dryer for Giants

I purchased this product in anticipation of a hair style requiring molding while my hair is wet. I tried to use the dryer within 2 hours of an event and to my surprise, found that the dryer has no hood adjustment. There is only one built-in height. Fine, if you are a giant, but average chairs are not on stilts, so an average person's head sits well beneath the bonnet area. What a disappointment just before an engagement. I am returning for a full refund.

  • A. WOW, I cannot believe it has been almost 3 years since I asked the question above and not only has the description been changed to correct the contradicting wattage ratings, but I am still getting answers to a question about a product I have already purchased and owned for nearly 3 years. For anyone who reads this the answer is, "IT'S A 1,875 WATT MODEL !!" Thank you.

  • A. The 1875 Watt is the high heat and high speed setting; useful for drying extremely wet hair; however, the low heat and low speed setting is 800 Watts; is a gentle setting - you can switch high/low as your hair drys; low setting good for drying hair naturally or synthetic hair pieces.

  • A. There is no way to adjust the air flow. I know that is says you can but there is no way to do it. You can only do that by lowering the heat setting to low.

  • A. There is an "air flow adjustment" at the top of the hood. By roating the handle to the left or right, you open/close vents that affect distribution of air flow inside the hood. The vents can be adjusted so there is more or less air on the top/frt or back of your head; based on what type of hairstyle you desire!

  • A. Rotating the handle to left or right opens or closes the vents that affect the distribution of the air flow inside the hood. Adjust the vents so there is more or less air on the top, front, or back of the head, as your hair style requires.
