About this item
Leading up to the Rose Bowl Game presented by Citi, the featured matchup was supposed to be the Pac-10 champion Oregon Ducks high flying spread offense against the tough defense of the Big 10 champion Ohio State Buckeyes. In the end, Buckeye quarterback Terrelle Pryor and the Ohio State offense, which came out firing from the opening drive, became the story of the game to help lead the Buckeyes to a 26-17 win. Pryor passed for 266 yards and two touchdowns, and rushed for another 72 yards. His 17 yard TD pass to DeVier Poset with 7:02 to play, capped the scoring and helped end the Buckeyes (11-2) three game BCS losing streak in convincing fashion. "This game we felt like we really needed to come in flinging it around and being as balanced as we could," Coach Jim Tressel said on opening up the Buckeyes offense for the Rose Bowl. "And we felt like as long as we were doing it well, we'd have a chance to keep doing it." Pryor and the buckeye offense controlled the clock, setting a Rose Bowl record for time of possession with 41:37. The Ohio State defense did the rest, holding the Ducks powerful offense to just 260 yards of total offense for the contest as the Buckeyes captured the school's first Rose Bowl victory since 1997. "The Official Rose Bowl Game Presented By Citi" DVD includes the commercial-free game broadcast as well as special bonus features. It is a great addition to any Ohio State fan's collection.
