I bought this wine cart as an "accessory" to stage my house for sale. I needed something "small" and "cheap" for my sunroom and this hit the spot. The light colored wood goes well with other sunroom furniture and decorations. The cart was received in perfect condition and was easy to assemble. I then went to the local Hospice and puchased nice, used, wine glasses for 75 cents to a dollar each, noting the width of the glass slots as suggested by a prior reviewer. I bought wine from a local Walmart at $2.97 a bottle. I've seen this same cart on other sites for $25 more than Walmart, plus postage. Walmart's "Site to Store" shipping is free.

This cart was exactly what we were looking for, though it is bit on the small side. The major down side was that our wine glasses didn't fit in the slots (which was the whole reason we bought the thing... for extra storage). But eventually we decided it was easier and cheaper just to buy new wine glasses than buy another cart.

I recently purchased this wine cart after shopping around online and in stores. I really like the look of this and it has the capacity I was looking for. A bonus is the drawer and wood top. It looks very nice and was very easy for me to put together by myself. Very glad I purchased this item and you will be too.

  • A. you do not have to install the wheels. there are plastic inserts in the legs where the legs go in to. I would think possibly these plastic inserts on the bottom might scratch a wood floor.

  • A. The drawer is rather small. I don't think anything too heavy should be put in drawer. Items I suggest is a cork screw, stirrers, wine stoppers, etc. The bottom of drawer is a very thin piece of board.

  • A. I am not sure how wide your silverware caddy is but I know that it would not fit the one that I own. It is a pretty small drawer meant mainly for storing wine stoppers and openers I believe.

  • A. I do not know how big your silverware caddy is. It will hold some silverware but nothing that is heavy because it is simple made. The drawer measures about 10 1/2 x 11 inches. So it is pretty small and not very sturdy. I put my bottle opener in it.

I would like to store something underneath this on the floor. Does the assembly allow for leaving the bottom two shelves off? If I am somewhat handy with a drill could I remount the shelves at a height of my choosing?

  • A. No. If you do not put the bottom shelves in, the whole construction will fail because it is all interwoven. The whole thing is not very stable, so the whole thing would be compromised within the structure itself. One small bumb and it would just collapse. The shelves give it some needed stability.if you would want to adjust the shelves and you would have to drill your own holes to do it, again the whole thing would be compromised. It is not made of much and the beams are slim. I would not recommend it.
