The Killing Joke 4.7 5 3 6
A Classic Tale of the Joker This book, along with Frank Miller's Dark Knight Returns, brought a whole new attitude to Batman comics and introduced storytelling for adults to a medium that was long considered to be only for children. While Dark Knight is the definative Batman book, Killing Joke is the must read for any fans of the Joker. 05/06/2009
Simply Amazing This this is a recoloring of the original masterpiece, Writer Alan Moore better known for Watchmen tells a thrilling story and artist Brian Bolland has recolored the artwork wonderfully. If reading for the first time I would not read the introduction until after you have read the book. This is a very quick read at 64 pages long, and is NOT FOR CHILDREN... but that being said its worth every dime. If you've read it before read it again with the new art... if not READ IT!!! 02/21/2011
For the most part a pretty good story Don't buy it because you might think that everything that the "almighty" Alan Moore writes needs to be obtained by any self-respecting collector. Buy it because it's a good take on how the Joker got to be the way he is. It's got a few groaner moments but for the most part it's a good story that could have been a lot longer. Read it in less than :45 minutes. Brian Bolland's art is to be commended – always perfectly framing the action. 10/04/2011
