- No, the liner is permanently attached to the plastic housing/shell. I don't know how it's insulated but I imaging it's high-density foam, much like a Thermos.by TexanCooker10/16/2011Was this answer helpful? (1) (0)Was this answer helpful?
- The liner cannot be removed from the outer shell. It works like an old fashioned thermos bottle. You can put ice and or ice water in the bowl to chill it, then pour it out and add your cold food and put the top on it immediately to keep it cold.by apianonana12/31/2010Was this answer helpful? - The stainless steel liner is attached to the interior part of the food server so it cannot be removed. There is a thick insulation between the stainless steel insert and the thermoplastic shell that keeps food hot or cold for hours. Thermal performance will vary depending on the type of food stored, the initial temperature of the food when stored, and outside temperature. Also, I suggest 'pre-cooling' the stainless steel liner with cold water and ice cubes for optimal performance.by GSMetalBakewareSpecialist10/16/2011Was this answer helpful? - Based on my experience with the product you should be able to mix it in the ThermaWare. No need to transfer it. The stainless steel liner is just a big bowl.by TexanCooker1/3/2011Was this answer helpful? (0) (0)Was this answer helpful?
