It is not meant specifically for outside use, but I have mine on a screened in sun porch, so it has gotten some very hot sun and light blowing rain and so far it has held up nicely. I've had it for a couple months now and I'm very pleased with it.

Not in upstate NY of course, but don't think it would tolerate the weather in any climate!! Indoor use far best!!

Yes, I have mine on my patio. When it gets dusty, just use some water in a spray bottle and spray the whole thing.

I would only use outside if undercover. We use them on our front deck under cover.

I don't think so, it decorates a large living room. It's not a good choice for low ceiling or small living rooms.

NO, it is for inside use only. It could be used on a covered porch, but not where it will actually be in the weather (rain , snow, etc.)

I personally wouldn't use these outside. If used outside I think the sun will fade it, and the wind, dust, and rain will take it's toll on it. I feel that these are for indoor use only.

Looks very original. I&#39;ve had 1 for about 30 years and just got two of these, highly recommended...

The trunk is sturdy but the branches are not. They are easily shaped to your liking so they would not hold anything up except for a light set. The other thing to consider is the very small pot. I have mine in another bigger pot with Spanish moss. You would have to adjust the bottom somehow to make it sturdy and not wobbly.

It will hold a string of lights just fine. I have some on mine and there is no problem. I used a string of small, white LED type lights that are battery operated. I turn them on in the evenings and they look lovely in the tree.

They will hold light weight or the branches might droop some. I have the starry lights from AMAZON.COM which is very fine copper wire 20 ft. in length and very bright the wire is totally invisible and the tree lit looks real pretty.

It will support a small lightweight strand, the ones with heavier indoor/outdoor cording may be too heavy

The light weight miniature lights have worked just fine with an artificial ficus tree I had in the past. I see no reason why this one wouldn't support a string of lights and plan on doing just that for Christmas. Really looks pretty in an otherwise darkened room.

I think the branches would easily hold a set of the mini lights without sagging.

the width is flexible, comes out of the box quite narrow. So, yes to the 24" question. No problem with 3' height requirement.

THIS TREE WOULD BE TOO LARGE FOR YOUR EXPECTIONS TREE IS ABOUT 6 FT. TALL AND HAS A WIDER SPREAD THEN YOU LISTED.

The branches and leaves are adjustable and moveable, so you can spread the branches out or bring them in narrower if you need to.

Tree is probably 24 to 30" wide...limbs can be straightened or bent to add or subtract wideth.

After I opened up the branches and "fluffed" it out, it ended up being, at the widest point around 36" - 37" wide. I sounds like these may be too big for what you need. I put both of mine in corners of my house that needed something green and tall and would fill up some space. I have vaulted ceilings and they worked out really nice.

The pot that the tree comes in is about 6 inches in diameter. I just placed the tree with that pot into a more decorative pot about 11 inches high and 10 inches in diameter.

An 11 or 12 inch pot looks good with this tree.   I even raised the tree about 4 inches within the pot with round clay disks.   Worked great!

How wide is the tree overall? I need 24" maximum with the branches starting at the 3' height or, if lower, the branches would need to be narrower.
