amazing not all blu ray discs out were shot in 1080 full HD. all old movies are just upconvert 1080i. alot of new tv shows are still 720p HD but planet earth...you will make full use of the blu ray player. incredible show, the quality and the resolution is unmatchable. got it for 40 bucks blackfriday while everywhere else it's atleast double that. if you find it for 40 bucks, it's well worth it. 12/19/2009
