With his guns a-blazin', he galloped out of the Ozarks and into the pages of American folk history: Jesse James, the bold bandit whose name became synonymous with train hold-ups, daylight bank heists and every other daredevil crime associated with the lawless West of the 1800s! Tyrone Power, the movies' most popular leading man in 1939, stars as Jesse, a young Missouri farmer forced outside the law after ruthless agents for the coming transcontinental railroad kill his ailing mother and steal his family's land. Together with his brother Frank (Henry Fonda), Jesse forms a gang of masked outlaws to strike back at the railroad company and the banks that have joined forces to swindle the oppressed farmers. Shot in Technicolor on location in the Ozarks where the real-life robbers rode, "Jesse James" explodes with drama, action and frontier desperado spirit.
