Rated 5 out of 5 by ulamph Excellent fan. A bit noisy, but the noise is from the blades moving the air, not the fan motor. I purchased three for my shop, so noise really was not a consideration. The down rod is 1/2 inch, not the standard size that Lowes sells. I made my own down rods to lower the fans out of 1/2 inch black iron pipe, which was great because then i could make them to my own specific length. 07/26/2011
