I really didn't think for the price I was going to get as good of quality as I received. The Ivy pattern is subtle if you are standing on the rug looking down but obvious and pretty from an angle. It doesn't scream "girly" at all, the Ivy pattern is well accepted by my husband. The rug was rolled carpet side out so it didn't have to have a 'relax' period and all four corners lay flat right away. It's also quite heavy. My toddler doesn't end up slipping his foot underneath and pealing it up like he has with other rugs. The edging is very well stitched. The base is like berber but the ivy is open end and softer. It's still no where near plush and you can't sink your toes in it by any means but I would expect to pay more for that. The color is dark chocolate brown... but definitely on the brown side not black. I have it on top of carpet so I don't know how it would do on hard floors. I would suspect it would slide around though because the back is not rubberized. The first two times with the vacuum the rug felt a bit softer (which I liked) however I've Vacuumed it many more times now and it has maintained itself and NO fibers have come loose, ever. It's the easiest rug I've ever vaccumed, I can go right over the edge and it stays put because it is heavy and the edges are so well finished. Hopefully this answers any questions you have had! If you need a big rug and your wallet is thin this is the way to go.

I received this rug and it makes the gold in my brown furniture pop! I love the texture it adds. Cleans up easily and is comfortable to walk on. The color is rich

The dark chocolate color looks great in my living room and the ivy pattern isn't too flowery. The rug is softer than the $20 rugs in the store and the best part about this rug is that it didn't have an odor when I unrolled it like the in-store rugs did. I'm very happy with this purchase!

I need to get a rug for an entrance/doorway. Is the bottom of the rug soft or stiff? If it is stiff, it will stay in place when secured in space. I don't want it to move or trip on itl

    • Bottom of rug is stiff and does not stay in place when on a wood floor.

    • It's stiff on the bottom and stays put on my living room floor when my 8 yr old jumpropes and runs and jumps and whatever over it. it'd be great for your purposes I think.

    • You would need to put a gripper pad underneath. The backing is stiff and would scratch a hard surface. I got my gripper pad 5'x7' at Big Lots for only $9.99.

    • you should see my review.. but my toddler's feet are like spatulas for rugs and he has not peeled this one up yet. the edges are finished very well and he runs all over it. I also vacuum it a lot and it hasn't lost a single fiber. The backing is not rubberized you'll need a nonslip pad underneath but the rug is heavy and lays flat straight out of the bag because they rolled it correctly. I think it would be fine for an entryway as long as you aren't using it to scrape mud off your boots

    • If you use those carpet grippers it will be perfect. Very durable. It holds up to my english bulldogs...

    • I use it for my entryway. Its perfect not too rough not too soft. Your going to have to get a rubber backing because it moves. I've never tripped or anything I just notice it moves.

    • It's stiff but might slide around. If only one corner has furniture on it, that should be enough to keep it settled.

    • The ivy pattern is subtle but pretty. the 'background' is berber type and the ivy pattern is open end and softer. not easily visible from standing above but pretty at an angle. it's all chocolate brown.

    • It has an ivy leaf pattern. Very subtle..not really noticable. Its nice..I dont care for patterns on rugs...but I love this rug. I bought two and Im going to buy two more

    • Its not 2 different colors, it is the same color, like a off white beige color, it does have a pattern, but it is more of a raised pattern...so there is no color change

    • It is hard to see the pattern in the picture, but in real life it is quite apparent. It is not exactly two different colors, it looks more like the ivy pattern is just in a different orientation... although I don't know how they do that. If it is different colors it's just dark brown and slightly darker brown.

    • No its not two colors, the ivy pattern is actually in the fibers itself. Its very pretty in person, but not two different colors.

    • No it is not. the pattern is like it is sewn into the rug. It is a light pattern you do not see it until you are looking @ the rug

    • The rug is brown, and the ivy pattern is brown as well. The ivy pattern is almost the same color as the rug, slightly DARKER. It's very, very pretty!
