    Rated 4.1 out of 5★ by 184reviewers.
Rated 4 out of 5 A very good deal! I purchased this spa-in-a-box a month ago after reviewing many portable spas online. I went with Spa-In-A-Box over Softub and others due to the size and mini jets thru-out the tub. After taking the spa out of the 2 boxes, I had my doubts about the product. But after setting up the spa my doubts began to fade. I set the spa up in about 40 minutes (the directions said 20 minutes, which is true after getting familiar with the tub) because I wanted to get the tub set up correctly. I was easy to set up and be sure you get all the wrinkles out of the liner bottom before filling. As for using the spa, it took about 20 hours to get the heat up to 102 degrees after filling with a garden hose. I bought Spa Chlor and non-chlorine shocker after it was full. Do NOT use chlorine (it will ruin and fade your liner) and do not use Bromine. Bromine is bad for your lungs and will dry out your skin and make you itch. I used it at 103 degrees and just loved it! The water comes past your shoulders when sitting and the jets do go around the whole tub, unlike ither portable spas. You do have to sit on the floor, but it is padded and comfortable. I am going to buy plastic ottomans that are made for cheap dorm room furniture, fill them up with water and use them as seats. You can fit 4 adults comfortably and squeeze 6 in if you wanted. The walls are made of wood with styrofoam on both sides. I was skeptical about this, wondering if it would hold the weight of people in it. It does do the job as I had 3 friends sitting on the edge of the tub at once, I just made sure they were sitting on the corner posts which are metal.I have read reports that the heater does not keep up or burns out and the owner has to sent it back in for repairs. I would have to say that this could be true for people up north where they run it all the time to keep it warm in cold weather. What I do is unplug the unit when I am done using it at night to give it a rest. Then when I wake up the next day, I plug it in again and it is back up to 103 degress 8 hours later when I want to use it again. This will save the motor for a long time and not burn it out.It is true that when the blower for the jets are on, it blows colder air into the tub, but it is hardly noticeable. If I get in the tub at 103 degress, it will drop to about 96 in an hour or so. I think after an hour in the hot tub is sufficent, so it ends in a nice warm bath. For under $800, I HIGHLY recommend getting the Spa-In-A-Box. Just give nthe motor a break at least once a day and don't run it 24/7. It will work in nicer climates and wouldn't recommend it for up North like N.Y. or Chicago winters. I definetly give it a thumbs up! 10/28/2008
Rated 1 out of 5★ by Great.....At First We bought this spa three years ago, and at first, it was great. It was simple to set up, and got hot within 24 hours. My wife and I were in it at least twice a day, and loved it. Then....After about 10 months it started making funny noises, and got louder every day. The pump went out ONE DAY before the one year warranty ran out. I had to call the main office in Florida to get any help. They sent a "new" motor at "no charge". After 7 months, the motor went out again. I called customer service, and they told me that the "new" motor was refurbished. It was only under a 6 month warranty. They said they would gladly send me another "new" motor for only $149.99, plus $199.00 shipping. No thanks. But that was not enough... 4 months later, they suddenly took $199.00 off of my credit card to pay for the "free" shipping for the first replacement motor. They said it was a delayed charge, just to make sure everything was ok with the motor, which had a one year warranty UNLESS it was refurbished! Make sense? I've went to review sites and seen several other customers with the same problems as myself. (I wish I would have done that before I bought it!) And now the worst part....I can not get it fixed because none of the pool or spa techs around here will touch it because you can't even order parts for it, only a full motor directly from Comfort Line! If you want a few months of enjoyment from it, go ahead and buy it. If you want something long term, you should shop around. I wish I had! (By the way, it did make a nice $1000.00 pool for our kids in the front yard this summer!) 08/29/2010
Rated 4 out of 5★ by Loving It! As a 1st time hot tub buyer/owner, I wasn't sure what to expect. But I am LOVING it! Unit sets up quickly & easily. On filling, we used a garden hose & depleted our house's hot water tank once - so water temp was almost 90 degrees within 4 or 5 hours. I was concerned about the microjets being wimpy, but they are pretty effective - better than I anticipated. The only drawback that I see so far is the intake of outside air to produce the microjets. The unit runs in 15 minute cycles, and we lose 1 to 1-1/2 degrees of heat per cycle when the outside air is around 65 degrees or so in the evening. Starting out at 104 degrees, by the end of an hour we're down to 96 or 97. But this isn't a real big deal, since by the morning it's back up to 104 again. Also, (and maybe it's like this withpermanent tubs too) you have to have the cover on in order to regain heat loss.I would definitely recommend this tub! For the money, it's a great value! 08/15/2007
Rated 5 out of 5 Great value! Great item! I bought this about a month ago and my wife and I love it. Set up is very quick and simple. The jets are more amazing than I expected, and I love the fact that the cover can be locked into place to keep the little ones out. As for the filtration system if you don't properly bleed the air valve on top of the filter then it will make a rattling noise. Overall I am very satisfied and would recommend for those first time buyers. 03/29/2008
Rated 1 out of 5★ by Total waste of money! What a total piece of junk. 5 weeks and it already is non-working. I'm told by Comfort Line Products, Inc that it's due to my water. Here's what their web site says about the error code I get on the L.E.D Display:"An EN or ER code is an error message usually indicating the circuitsensors have become corroded by mineralsor calcium that is in your water. If you are using well water or havehard water, this can happen quickly. Even citywater will have a small percentage of calcium that cannot beremoved 100%. Another problem could be an internalissue. Unfortunately, there is nothing that we can do to resolve theissue, the entire power pack will have to bereplaced."They want $420 for a replacement power pack. Are they kidding? Stay clear of this product! 07/01/2009
Rated 5 out of 5★ by great product no problems with set up or delivery-owned for 2 weeks and completely satisfied-great value-great product-far exceeded our expectations for the price-comfortable and big enough to hold 5-6 adults our size-Love it! We put it on a heated porch and the temp only drops 2 degrees in 1/2 hour of use-filled it with soft water so it has no problems with the pump or heater-will write another review after one year of ownership-our porch is 6 1/2 ft wide and it fills the space quite nicely-very expensive looking as you can see by the photos 10/30/2009
Rated 5 out of 5★ by 1 year and going strong! I never write reviews but I had to write this one. Have owned this hot tub one year now--going into second very cold NJ winter. We used it all last winter and it is amazing for tired muscles, overworked backs--you name it. I don't use the jets but they are strong.Best buy out there! If it ever starts not heating, clean the filter. Also, after a power failure have to reset it to 104 because the default is 100 degrees.Probably shouldn't say this but all i've ever used is household bleach--quarter cup or so 11/23/2008
Rated 5 out of 5★ by Awesome for the price For the price this hot tub is awesome. It will fit four very comfortable and five a little more crowded. It is a little confusing at first to know what chemicals you need and how to use them. Once you figure it out it is not bad. Also the filters get dirty rather fast so you should always have a spare.Of course we use it alot so may not get as bad for those who don't use it as often. 08/20/2007
