Beautiful little table and chairs,

I assembled the table in about 10 minutes with the hardware and tools enclosed. EASY! I have not assembled the chairs yet. I have another table made with rubber wood, and it looks great and is very durable. The table looked smaller than I visioned it, but I was aware of the actual size. This is a solid, durable, elegant dining set for four and will fit in smaller spaces.

Very cute little dining set! Espresso color is darker than it appears on line. Suede padded seats give the set a more expensive look. Seat color is also darker than on line picuture. Chairs do take a while to put together, but they are very nice looking. Overall this is a great little dining set for small spaces!

Table looks nice to the eye, but you can tell the wood is nothing great. Came with tons of dents in the wood, and the tools they give you will make sure you have more dents before you finish building it. The pads on the chair seats are nice, very comfortable. If you tighten the seats or table too much, get ready to have the wood split (happened to me on 2 chairs). The legs on the chairs are uneven, but I have the table on carpet so it's not that bad. Takes over an hour to put the chairs together.

This product was very simple to assemble. It takes a couple of hours if you put it together without help, but it sets up great and is very sturdy. I enjoy eating every meal more by using this dining set. And it has a beautiful color. I love it...

We bought this product a year ago and after one month of owning it, it starting falling apart! We use it everyday, it is definitely not made for everyday use. It was getting all wobbly and flimsy after a month of owning it! We didn't return it so we still do unfortunately have it and one chair we can't even use or else it'll break right under us. We did retighten all the screws but doing that didn't work at all! The table is a little too small and although the table is still standing fine, the chairs definitely are not. And I thought the microfiber material on the chairs would be great to have and they're not. We have stains on the fabric because it didn't come out and they collect a lot of fuzz and things. I would never recommend this product to anyone. It may look like a great set, which it does!, but it really isn't.

I read all of the reviews before I ordered this product, so I pretty much knew what to expect. If you set your expectations low, then you will not be displeased. Like some of the other reviews, which I would recommend reading first, we received the box with the dining set and it was very complicated to assemble. They give you most of the tools that you need, but having your own screwdriver handy doesn't hurt. I'll tell you this much. I went to school last night at 5:30 and my husband began assembling it...I got home around 10:30 and he had assembled the table and 2 chairs, so there are still 2 left to do. I will say that they do look very nice. I thought that the wood would be very grainy, but I was surprised that the texture was so smooth. The only other thing though was that there were some scratches/dings on the chairs, but I remember one review saying they received it that way too. We are just going to go get one of those wood markers since the wood is so dark and the scratches are so minor they can be covered up and you would never notice from a distance. Well, I hope this review verifies some customer's perception of this product. Overall, I think it looks nice and it perfectly matches our beige/brown furniture! And the final product does look kind of cute and classy if that's what you're going for!

Simple and Elegant for pennies,

This set is perfect for small dining areas. I was very impressed with the shipping, I received it sooner than what I expected. The color is a rich expresso and the wood was solid and sturdy. Definately worth the money. I read reviews of how some said they were able to put it together in about 2 hours. I'm pretty handy with tools however it took me longer to put it together but the end result was beautiful. Every peice was there and nothing was missing. The only thing that I was not happy with was that when I opened the box, there was a small deep gash on the side of the table. It looks like it happened during shipping b/c the box was ripped in that exact area. Personally in most cases, I would return it however we were in desperate need of a table and I let my family make the call of whether they wanted to wait for another table. We all agreed it was a minor cosmetic issue and we went ahead and kept it. We bought a furniture marker the same color and filled it in; problem solved. I'm very pleased and satisfied with my purchase. I would definately recommend this for anybody who wants a simple elegant look and not break the bank. Happy shopping!

Hard to put together but worth it,

Love the end product, but dang did it take forever to put together. Each chair took about 25 minutes to assemble. The instructions aren't the best.
But once it's together it is classy and looks great.

My husband and I bought this set for our apartment. It was a great price and looked awesome on the website. When we opened it, there were dents in the wood and we were missing a couple of the wooden dowels, so we couldn't even put one of the chairs together. After only 3 months of VERY light use, ALL 3 chairs that we had put together fell apart and broke completely because of the quality of the wood. We hardly ever sat on these chairs in those 3 months. The table on the other hand is GREAT. It's holding up strong and we put things on it everyday.

The overall table is great. There were several screws missing and the one used for the table are hard to find. So I changed them out with others. The direction didn't show a good picture or a supply list to ensure you had all the parts. Overall my daughter loved then her gift.

Great value for the price. Nice finish. The chairs were a little tedious to put together - lots of screws and dowels.

It seems like a pretty sturdy set. The only drawback is the size of the table - good only for 4 people to sit at comfortably - not a table for extra company.

I don't like that the chairs cannot be pushed totally under the table - each chair hits the others which causes the chairs to stick out away from the table edge a little too much for my liking.

We bought this table & chair set for our daughter's first apartment. It is nice looking & seems pretty sturdy. However, one of the chair back has a crack through a slat.

By the time we discovered this problem we already had everything unpacked and the table completely assembled. We decided we just couldn't face taking it apart and trying to get all the parts to fit back into that box and lugging it all back to a store and then trying to reorder & hope the new set wouldn't have the same problem. As another customer pointed out, this is not an expensive table set so this can kind of be expected.

What I am very disappointed about is that Walmart doesn't sell the chairs by themselves. I had thought to just buy a replacement chair but that is not an option. So if this one does completely break the whole set has to be replaced.

And be warned, the assembly of the chairs IS very time consuming. We had a power drill to use but it wouldn't fit into the little openings where you had to use the allen wrench. One thing made a HUGE difference...we found a drill attachment (coincidentally at Walmart) that was a flexible cable to allow drilling in weird angles. And they also sold a small assortment of drill bits that had an allen wrench tip. I think each item was about $6 or $7 but they were worth their weight in gold! It allowed the seat screws to be done in seconds instead of tediously a quarter-turn at a time (we had done two chairs by hand before making the trip to Walmart and finding these attachments...it's been 3 days and my fingers are still sore from that allen wrench!).

So I would still consider this a pretty good value, but it would be greatly improved if the chairs were also available separately.

As mentioned above, you have to assemble EVERYTHING. They give you all the tools you need but a cordless drill/screwdriver will do wonders for you. My set also came with minor scratches and a few stress cracks but what do you expect for $200? I bought it because of its compact size and price. I do not eat much at home so it's fine for me. If you are looking for a dining set you will use every day with your family, this is not for you.

I bought this set for my son's new apartment and I am not exaggerating when I say it is perfect! It is not a huge table but that is a good thing because his apartment is very small and the table fills up the dining area. Any bigger and it would have been too big. For a size comparison, I bought 4 rectangle placemats and the end place mats over lap the side placemats just a bit. 4 square placemats would have been perfect. The wood in the table and chairs is slightly darker than the picture but they are the color that I expected and wanted since the name of the table has “espresso” in it. The cushions on the chairs are MUCH darker… they are nothing like the picture. My son likes the darker colors better anyway. The cushions are microfiber in a medium brown color with a slight greenish hue to them (see my picture). Regardless, the cushions blend in perfectly with the wood. The entire set feels very sturdy I bet it will last for a very long time (even with his buddies beating on it). The chairs were a bit of a pain to put together as noted in other reviews but my son was able to put it together in just a couple of hours. I love the set and wouldn’t mind have it in my own house. More importantly, my son loves the set. He is 20 years old and his exact words were “it is awesome.”

For months, I had been searching for a reasonably-priced but attractive and well-made dining room table set for my apartment (to replace an old one that I had used for a decade!). I had looked everywhere (all the typical stores and online). When I came across this one, I immediately liked the modern look, the espresso finish, the PRICE, and I saw that it had gotten really good reviews on this website. Basically, it was exactly what I was looking for, but I was afraid of the "too good to be true" type scenario. I was a tad worried about the missing drill holes other people mentioned; I don't have the ability to work around that, and I have no patience for missing hardware, etc. I bit the bullet and ordered it, using the SitetoStore function. Boy am I glad I did! It arrived pretty quickly (approx 1 1/2 weeks), and I was a little worried about the box fitting into my small car (plus, I have no one to help me and I'm a fairly small girl LOL) but the WalMart associates were extremely helpful. I was able to enlist a friend to help me get the box into my apt and then it was my project to assemble. I will say, that the table was very easy to put together, but the chairs were really tricky and time-consuming. This isn't a bad thing, just something to be aware of in advance. I am glad others mentioned it in their reviews, because they were dead right, therefore I was mentally prepared, lol. This set is made of real wood, and it is very glossy and attractive. The other review which states the seat cushions are a little different is also dead-right, and I agree with her that they are actually even prettier in person. VERY nice aesthetic, and very comfortable, too. Agreed that the table is small scale, the chairs are somewhat small, but I like this, because other sets I have seen with four chairs usually are too cramped once people are actually sitting on them, this is not the case, here. All in all, this was a fantastic purchase and I do recommend this product. I had no issues with missing hardware or drill holes. It ended up being pretty fun to assemble, I just turned on some happy music and went to town! I am VERY pleased with the outcome, and I still can't get over the price. It looks a lot more expensive than it is, and it is very well-made. The seat cushions are thick, covered with substantial micro-suede like fabric that is quite high-end in appearance. I am very glad I purchased this.

A very nice dining set,

The set is nice, a little smaller than what I envisioned but it will work.
One of the back seat had a hole in it. I called the
manufacturer and they promptly addressed my need.
It took me 2.5 hours to install all of them. Table was easy, the chairs however are tricky ! It's a good thing I have some tools in the house that I used instead of the ones included in the package.
Overall, I like the dining set very much.

I bought this table for a small dining area in our apartment. I am pleased with the size, however it look somewhat cheap. It took about 4 hours to put it together, and as I was almost finished, I noticed one of the pieces to a chair was broken and I could not finish putting it together. So now I have a wobbly table and 3 chairs!! Super disappointed!

My b/f and I just purchased this table and chairs for our first apartment and we love it. We have a formal dining room in our apartment but decided to turn it into a walk-in closet since we have so many clothes, shoes, etc and wanted to eliminate clutter. So we decided to purchase a small table and chair set that would sit in the corner of our living room. We wanted something small but practical. It's only me and him so this set is just what we needed. The price is wonderful as well! Shopped around elsewhere and had not found a better deal. We did the "site to store" shipping and it arrived fairly quickly at our local Walmart and the associate was nice enough to help get it into my small car. Would recommend to anyone looking for a nice small, cute and practical set.
