Can anyone make a guess at the weight of the tabletop alone (removed from the box)? I am assuming that the tabletop is the largest/heaviest piece of this set. I ordered it and it has been waiting for pick-up at Walmart for a long time, I only have 2 days left before they ship it back to the manufacturer. I have put off picking it up because I don't have anyone to help me with it. I am female, only about 90 lbs, and have fibromyalgia and a bad I have kind of given up hope of getting this dining set up to my apartment. I've been thinking about opening the box in the parking lot and then loading it into my car. I was hoping that way I'd be able to carry it from the street up two small-ish flights of stairs piece by piece. But I need an idea of the weight of the heaviest piece to decide whether this idea may be possible. Any help would really be appreciated. Thanks!

  • A. We had to take it out of the box and carry it up the stairs in pieces. The top was maybe 30 lbs?

  • A. This is very heavy furniture. In my opinion, for your safety and health hire someone to help you. I wouldn't try to carry the tabletop up two flights of stairs myself, and I am in good health (53 yr old female)

  • A. You can get the store clerks to unpack and load it into your vehicle and then ask a neighbor to carry the top for you. I don't know if you will be able to carry the table top alone with your physical limitations. It isn't that heavy, but it is bulky and difficult to get up steps.

  • A. The tabletop is the heaviest piece...probably 40 - 50 pounds. It is definitely too heavy to carry anywhere. I had my son help me slide it off the back of my truck to the ground. I opened it in my garage and carried all the pieces up my 2 flights of stairs to assemble in my home.

  • A. Maybe 20 to 25 lbs for the table top. I would think your plan to take it out of the box and put the pieces in your car would work fine.
