Best Cookbook To Have Around the House! This is by far one of the best cook books I have come across. Unlike many of the cook books that I own, The Joy of Cooking 75th Anniversary Edition just like it's original (The Joy of Cooking) provides recipes and instructions as well as insight into cooking techniques that can be used for the rest of your life. If you read this book and gain the skills and abilities taught by this book, you can cook almost anything you want. 07/07/2009
Purchased as gift for friend. Great book--classic. The print is relatively small, though, as to include all the incredible recipes. It's great for sit-down reading/study. But if you're buying for someone who doesn't like to wear reading glasses or would prefer not to huddle over book looking closer while cooking, you might choose the large-volume classic. 02/07/2012
