Pretty but disappointed I ordered this item off line and got it shipped site to store to avoid a large shipping fee. I knew it would take a while, so I could live with the wait, but when we finally received the item. I was extremely disappointed in the color. It is not, in my opinion, an oak wood. My living room set is oak and there is a considerable difference in the color.When we pulled the item out of the box, we saw that it was already broken. It wasn't hard to fix, but it's still so frustrating.Then on top of it all (and this was mostly my fault). I was under the impression that there were cabinets as well as shelves at the end, but the two side cabinet knobs are purely for show. Which would be fine if it weren't for my two year old getting into the shelves all day long.Ultimately, when it's all said and done, the piece is beautiful. It's a very solid wood, it looks very fancy and expensive. I would recommend this product to someone only because it really is a gorgeous piece. Just know what you might be getting yourself into when you buy it. :) 01/31/2009
