Decided to change color scheme in the bedroom so I needed new blackout curtains, purchased these because they seemed to be the best value. I ordered them in stone blue, and the curtains are actually darker than they appear online. Almost like a dark denim blue color. But I like it!! The weave of these give a really great texture and a very subtle pattern. My window is about 70" inches wide. I bought 3 panels and it filled the space fine for my taste. For windows this size, I'm guessing most people may want 4 (or more) panels for a pleated look. These block out WAY more than my existing curtains. I've included a couple not-so-great pictures.

Purchased these cutains for my mom's house which has zero insulation & blinds on her windows. Her rooms would remain terribly hot despite the window A/C unit set on coldest/high setting. The curtains did make a vast improvement making her rooms cooler & far more comfortable. Keep in mind these are blackout curtains, so they make the rooms much darker in the daytime. But, that works for us. Definitely would recommend these since they were very reasonably priced and accomplished what we had hoped they would do. Great buy!

I work at night and sleep during the day, so I bought a pair of these Eclipse Samara curtains to block the light that creeps in around my bedroom door. These curtains have AMAZING blackout capability! They also muffle sounds coming from outside the room, and they look as nice as any curtain I could have bought at any price. (I did not have any problem getting the creases out. Manufacturer's dryer instructions are included in package.) Terrific value at such a low price.

The curtains were everything they were adverticed to be, and more. Nice material, they seem to be keeping my house warmer on cold days, blocking out the sun on warm days, and keeping it cooler. I would buy the same kind again.

These eclipse curtains are not only great looking, with a semi shiny patina that affords them a sense of subtle elegance, but they are entirely efficient in keeping your home's temperature moderately regulated. I put these in my South Florida apartment, which has 2 windows and a 12 foot sliding door that face west...which means it exposes my place to the hottest, most intense sun heat of the afternoon. Prior to installing these, I could feel heat radiating 2 feet into my apartment from the windows and door. The carpet was hot to the touch. After installing these curtains, however, my apartment has been significantly cooler in temperature and the sun-blocking capabilities give my place a hotel room type of feel. I opted for the chocolate brown color to contrast my light beige walls and they look real classy. All my visitors have noted their elegance and the price for these is right. I bought similar curtains about 2 years ago for a seasonal place in Southern California and I paid $40 a panel for those- same brand. These are remarkably priced for the value, cheaper here on Walmart than Amazon. You'll love them!

I entered the brand of the curtain into the search engine, and that is when they had additional sizes, and quantity's that you could order to obtain a better price.

    • A. No, but one is 9.00 and change. I purchased four more panels along with the two, and received a bulk purchase deal. Basically $7.00 and a few penny's, plus free shipping. Total 54.00 for three windows. I've searched everywhere for them, none are as fine as the eclipse. They do what they say, and this was the lowest price I could find on the internet. They're more than a standard drapery, all the way around. Wish they came as a set too:)

    • A. I am sick and VERY sensitive to certain smells. Yes, the blackout products do have a plastic, vinyl, pvc (however you want to term it) smell. I definitely recommend washing before hanging (hanging when slightly damp will help release wrinkles), wash on gentle/hand wash setting. DO NOT MACHINE DRY> Line dry, I just hung mine over a chair under my ceiling fan for about 30 min, the odor is not bad after washing. (Besides I wash everything before using/wearing, you never know what chemicals lurk in fabrics) Yes, odor is a bit more noticed when heated by the sun, it does fade though. I also have the blackout liners, I hung both to maximize light, heat and noise reduction, so that my room is 100% dark and cool, I am in Florida with no porch or outside shade so a dual- approach is necessary to avoid spending hundreds on heavy, expensive lined curtains. (Have had blackout liners a couple years, these curtains are a new purchase, will add photos soon)

    • A. I haven't noticed this but I keep the blinds closed behind them as the purpose is to blackout. I don't want people in out apartment complex looking in as we're on ground level so I keep everything shut. I did put them in the dryer to fluff out the wrinkles from packaging & didn't notice any smell when removed from the dryer.
