Walker Edison Palisade 3-in-1 TV Stand with Mount, for TVs up to 48" 4.5 5 142 165
Perfect For Corners I recently bought a 50" plasma and of course needed a new stand. The stand selection at the electronics store was limited and expensive. I looked here on Wal-Mart Online and was AMAZED at the selection! I love this stand. It works great in the corner. It tucks back in nicely and the height for the tv is fully adjustable and it also swievels and tilts to reduce glare from lights or windows. It assembled fairly easy and had all the parts. It has cable management holes in the back. we attatached the tv to the stand via the metal tower on back and it is pretty sturdy. The tv is about 48 inches wide so it is longer on both ends of the base by about 3 inches on both sides but it doesn't overpower the stand, although thats the biggest I would go. It seems to be a nice choice for a flat screen tv and it took only about a week to arrive at my local Wal-Mart! Enjoy, you can't go wrong. 06/06/2009
Looks good, well made, but compact. I am very pleased with this product: it looks great, is well made, and meets my needs well. Assembly was straightforward and parts are well labelled, but pay careful attention to orientation or you will repeat steps as I did. The TV mount allows for some sideways rotation as well as forward/backward tilt and feels very secure with my 40" Samsung LCD.Some users will need to beware that it is more compact than the dimensions suggest: the middle and bottom shelves are just 15" deep and taper from 38" at the front to only 25" at the back. Additionally the bottom shelf has only 6.75" clearance above to the middle shelf. The middle shelf has ~7.25" clearance to the metal support for the top shelf but otherwise has 9" clearance to the top shelf itself, providing plenty of ventilation. With my Yamaha RX-v863 AVR wedged in the middle shelf (see photos) there is adequate space for my VCR and cable box plus PS3 and still enough room for the DVR/power-amp I may get in future. The bottom line is measure the components you need to fit carefully to see if this unit will work for you. With my 40" TV mounted as high as it can go without some kind of additional fittings, there is about 1/8" minimum clearance above the Center speaker which is 7" high.Despite (or maybe because o)f the compact design, the finished result looks great and the cherrywood finish matches my Polk LSi speakers very well. One other tip is I spent hours trying to remove one troublesome screw from my Samsung TV stand, but it came out in a few minutes when I bought a screw extraction tool for ~$3: BLACK & DECKER No. 16271, #1, 5/64 In. Bit Screw Extractor, used with a variable speed drill. 03/28/2010
42" Wood Face TV Stand My only complaint is the center glass holder , that has 2 o-rings on them, which is to be screwed into the backside of the wood has too long of threads. When securing them (2) with the supplied allen wrench, the threaded holder will break-through the wood face. When this happens, there is nothing that can be done to undo the visual damage! 10/08/2009
not as advertised but ok... Reasonable quility for the $'s ... size is what I had in mind and my components fit very nicely. My only issue is w/ the TV mount...I tried to mount my 42" flat panel w/ the bracketing supplied and found that the vertical supports mounted to the TV were at the very outside limit of the horizontal support bracket. When I attempted to hang the TV on the bracket, it began to bend under the weight (~85lb. TV). I was able to adapt bracketing that I had from a wall mount I had and everything now works fine. I would not recommend this product for a 42" panel... 01/20/2010
