This necklace looks nice without the matching earrings because you could team with a nice pair of silver earrings. However, I bought the earrings for a "set" look. It looks great with jeans or to wear with more formal wear (think about this pretty light blue on black). The gold/silver setting helps make it elegant and modern at the same time. The cost is relatively fair for the size being it is a genuine Blue Topez. Decent enough sized that it is noticeable. 05/30/2010
