I bought this to use on my 2 month old son because I was having a hard time using the underarm thermometer since he wiggles so much and it would take a long time... This thermometer works very fast which is nice. It's difficult to keep it in contact with his forehead when he's wiggling around but I can usually do it in 2 or 3 tries. At this point it does wake him up when I touch it to his head and hear the little beep but it's a whole lot faster than other thermometers... Wish the temperature screen had a back light so that during the night I could see what it says without turning on more than a nightlight. So far I would recommend this to anyone, for adults and children... 02/28/2012

I tend to check multiple times (with all thermometers) and do get varied (but relatively close) readings...but this is extremely easy to use, even my 3 year old can use this! I prefer this style over the ear thermometer. One negative is that the thermometer reading does not light up, that is good when checking children when they're sleeping so you're not shining a light in their face, but is bad when you're in the dark trying to get a reading. I also found this for $5 less at Sam's Club a few days after everyone in my house was feeling better....the exergen website also includes a $5 mail in rebate. 02/11/2012
