Her novel For the Roses was adapted into a Hallmark Hall of Fame movie.
She also wrote a children's book, What's a Girl to Do?, and has also begun writing a novel for young adults under the pseudonym of Emily Chase. Her title Sweet Talk made The New York Times Best Seller List for 2012.
Garwood's hardcover debut, Saving Grace (LJ 6/15/93), was good enough to land her on the New York Times Best Sellers list. Here, a young Englishwoman travels to America with a hardened cowboy in order to avoid a forced marriage.
