This is one of the best shows on TV. I am sad to see that the show is ending after 6 seasons. I would recommend all the seasons, but the first is very important because all of the seasons play off of what happens in the first full season. This is a must have for any DVD collection. This is a great TV show with great characters and plot lines.

Denis Leary is amazing as Tommy, a NYC firefighter. Definitely more to this show than first meets the eye...once you start watching you won't be able to stop. Perfect balance of humor and drama. I laughed, cried and yelled along with the characters...you'll love some like they're your brother (or sister) and hate some like they're your nosy neighbor that won't go away. Once you finish the first season you won't be satisfied until you work your way through the rest.
