When looking for the correct chain for this chainsaw there are three things to look for the chain links, pitch and gauge. This is an OREGON brand chain.

Bought this and the weather won't cooperate so haven't had a chance to put it through all it's paces. I have the pole saw and it did so well went for the chainsaw.  Needed something with more to it. This fit the bill. Why electric you ask? Ever try starting one when it's cold, or start and stop repeatedly, gas doesn't like to start on a short notice in cold weather. Electric goes at the push of a button. In an emergency no hunting for gas or 2 cycle oil, just plug and go. Even a generator or power inverter. It's just easier, cleaner, better for the environment.

Worth it..

I own many of the Greenworks products like weed trimmer, hedge trimmer, blower, lawnmower, and now chainsaw! Was great for me because I don't use chainsaw as much so corded was a better value! Other items are 60v

Have had the saw for a week.  Used for clearing two large trees down due to Hurricane Matthew;  i am pleased with ease of use, safety, efficiency.

So far so good

this little guy keeps going.. completely cut up a big tree,  worked it long and hard,,  the chain jump off  a few times,  now its working on a large nasty palm.  i'm surprised i haven't burned it out..

not to bad

I bought this saw because my gas saw stoped running and had large tree to take care of that fell in back yard ,wish I had this saw a long time ago , keep her sharp and oiled and clean after use .

plenty of power, but chain tensioner system is not very robust. Chain can and did come off rather easily. The oil delivery system leads to oil drip spills and puddles where saw is set, however does lubricate the chain. Inexpensive way to easily cut larger items if you can get around above issues.

Good and not so much....

Sorry guys. This is more of a toy than I was expecting. Chain speed slow. Motor is starting to bog down more easily. Chain easily come off when working with slight log binds. It does cut, but I would compare it to maybe a 30cc saw. I was hoping for closer to a 50cc saw comparison. Cut up a little over a cord so far. I have 4 more to do for winter. We'll see how it does.

Disappointing

I used this product off and on for an hour or two on my tree cleanup.  I did not overwork or abuse this saw and used the proper gauge extension cord required as per the manual and was pleased with the amazing performance of this saw.  Near the end of the job the saw was still cutting very good and then all of a sudden I seen sparks intermittently coming from the end of the motor. It got worse very quickly and started smoking and slowed down with no power almost in an instant. I thought maybe it overheated but was barely warm to the touch so something let loose internally in the motor. I was pleased to find out there was a no hassle return on this item thru my local Walmart but was disappointed it didn't continue to do the job. I have not yet decided to try another of the same model as the 4 year warranty tells me it should hold up well under normal use  but while it was working properly it was impressive.

Not Very Durable

Chain came off four times in the first hour.  I've used gas chainsaws for over 25 years, still read the manual to see if I was missing something. Gave up and returned it.

Loose chain

Powerful and stops quick but like the other comments, the chain falls off when you stop cutting even after tightening the slack after each cut. 6 times I had to put the chain back on to finish a 5 minute trimming to 40 minutes of wasted time. I have 3 other Greenworks battery run products that works great but this 1 dissappoints, why Greenworks still puts this out will repel me buying anymore Greenworks products.
